This is a really desperate attempt to find a solution for my swollen lip (lower). Went golfing yesterday and got a couple of mosquito bites on my face and one on my lips (kissed by a mosquito) the bite is now swelling... Clinics are closed on Sundays and I really don't want to spend 5-6 hrs waiting at the emergency clinic in the hospital. I am fine, no fever, not pain whatever... just wanna relive the swelling cos I am looking really "weird" with a swollen lower lip... HELP... all the cream I have are not suppose to be ingested hence I am skeptical at applying it on my mouth... |

you could try an ice pack maybe? My friend uses hot bread poltices on insect bites, but I think they only work if there is a poison in there.
If you want to try it, soak a piece of bread in boiling water and slap it on the bite when it is as hot as you can stand. Hold in place til it has gone cold. Sounds mad, but it really works on these weird biting flies we have here.
Alternatively make out like angelina jolie

Haha if I can pull it off, don't mind looking like Jolie for a day :P However, the bite is only at one side of the lips...so I got a lope-sided plump lips...
I will try the bread thingy, will let you know if it works Thanks once again! |

Hi Natning-
The other day I was stung by a bee on my lip (ouch!).
I was afraid it would take forever to go down, but I decided to take this homeopathic called Apis Mellifica. I took 5 pellets of 30C every 1/2 hour and, to my amazement, within 2 hrs it was completely gone! Like it had never happened!
Maybe this might help with your mosquito bites? (nasty things!)

It's calmed!!! I am not sure if its the bread that works that all the different things I have been trying but it was the last thing I tried, about an hour later...the swelling subsided!!! I'm so worried that I have to go into the office tomorrow with a swollen lip. *Phew~!*
Thanks! |
