I held off on trying this product for a long time. For one thing, clay masks tend to irritate the heck out of my sensitive skin, and for another thing, I was too lazy to use a mask that you have to mix up. That being said, I recently started Differin and have to shelve my beloved Green Apple Peel for a while, so I've been recruiting a treatment to kind-of sub for it while it warms the bench.
The first thing I love about this mask is its simplicity: it's just clay and herbs and you can mix it with whatever you like to customize it for your skin type. I mixed mine with spring water and a few drops of Dr. Hauschka's Steam Concentrate, but if I hadn't been so lazy tonight I probably would have used green tea too. The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous minty-herbal smell as I applied it to my face with a foundation brush. The next thing I noticed was the texture--- it glided on to my face like green silk!!! I swear, applying this stuff was a sensual experience. It made my face feel cool and refreshed and it dried in about 5 minutes so I rinsed it off after that. It rinsed easily and when I dried off my face and looked in the mirror I was more than pleased--- my skin tone looked slightly more even and my pores looked smaller, AND my face felt smoother than a baby's bottom! I just used a sample for this application, but considering the full-size jar is less than $10, I'm definitely planning on picking one up ASAP. |

I've been eyeing this for a while, glad someone liked it! Now I just can't decide between this or Kiss My Face Pore Shrink Mask! |

I remember I had this mask a long long long time ago. I just used for about two or three times because I find the mixing part was kind of messy. I didn't really like how it felt on my skin. it dried up really fast, like as soon as I finish applying the whole face, I could felt the tightening of my face and had rinse it off very soon. for all the trouble I did not see a big difference in terms of results comparing to other regular clay masks. |

I was afraid that the mixing would be messy too, but I just put a spoonful of powder into a mug and drip in water til the consistency looks right, kinda like I do with the aspirin mask. Also, I think using a brush to apply really helps get an even coat, avoid drips, etc. |

I used this mask 2 times, but didn't notice any difference on my skin. Price wise, it is not very cheap because the jar contains 28g, and Dr Hauschka Cleansing Clay Mask is $27 for 90g. So, it's not really a bargain. Now I use Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay, and results are much better. |

Wow, thanks for the great suggestion Liz. I've been eyeing on that mask for a while. |

It may be that the Dr. Hauschka Steam concentrate I added to the mask really turbo-charged it--- I've never tried it without the Dr. H, so I can't say what it's like on its own... |

Is really not a bad product for that price and would have a little jar handy at all time. Is easier to mix and wash off then an aspirin mask although I find it less effective in removing stubborn blackheads. |
