...of what my mates would say. They would call me gay and make fun of me, and not that I'm homophobic or anything, but I too would be embarrassed at a spa. You women sure are lucky! /* |

LOL.
My husband is the same way. He refuses to go, but he looooves it when I give him facials etc.
Oh well. He's afraid that he'd be seen as "gay". That stuff is way to metrosexual for him!! |

I used to think it was weird to see guys at my medspa or getting their nails done...but it's kind of nice to know they don't have goo nasty hands and feet. But talking about it is super girly. ....yea I don't think I can rock the evil face... |

Well if you're secure enough with yourself you wouldn't care what your mates or anyone else would say. Plus, who has to know anyway. Do you think they'd really comment on how much better your skin looked after your facial? And if they did, well then they would probably be the kind of men who would get one too which means you could plan a spa day for you and all the blokes. LOL |

Good point wildflower. Maybe our testosterone fuelled super straight lover boy is putting on a show for us and really he's a friend of Dorothy's.
I think we need some of our 'out' members to see if spa tickles their gaydar
and in response to your post Spa, then if you are straight, then you deserve to get the pi$$ ripped out of you for going to a spa. Women want their men to be men and not always fussing over their faces like girlies. |

Don't you just love it when people say things like that?
Next it will be "some of my best friends are gay"

There are spas just for men, like this one: http://www.americanmale.com. Check your area. There is absolutely NOTHING to be embarrassed about for wanting to take care of your skin. You also could try a local beauty college if you want to try a facial and save $. Or go to a spa with a friend that's female if you need the support.
I take my SO with me to the nail salon at least once a month for a manicure and pedicure, and he's a big, burly, MASCULINE man. It took me a long time to get him to go, but once he finally gave in, he was glad he did. His nails and feet look so much better now. And other men are there sometimes, too. I also give him at-home facial treatments/masks, because, personally, I like a well-groomed man. |

Hey, there's nothing wrong with men going to beauty salon for facial. I have seen men getting their nails done too. not to mention both manicure and pedicure |
