I just switched from Retin-A Micro to Tazorac. My face has been slightly irrited and red...a bit of stinging, as well. Can anyone reccommend a light lotion or serum to help reduce the redness and irritation until my face aclamates to the tazorac?

I've been recommending the following all over the place. It is my find of the year. It works for any kind of redness, irritation, etc. It also hydrates without feeling oily and diminishes fine lines: All Terrain's Aloe Skin Repair Gel with chamomile, lavendar, sea algae, comfrey, and sweet clover leaf. (http://www.mothernature.com/shop/detail.cfm/sku/89965) BTW, this stuff is wonderful all over the body, and I found that an unexpected benefit is that it works better than DEET to keep bugs away! The bug-repellant effect lasts 2-4 hours after applying it. Plus it's cheap, can be bought all over, and all of the ingredients are healthy. |

I've recently started Differin so I've been trying to be extra gentle with my skin too. Here are some products I've found that are particularly mild and soothing: PSF O2 serum, Zenbiotic O2 spray, Jojoba oil, Camellia Oil, And Caudalie Grape Water. HTH! |
