Toothpaste won't really treat acne, but it helps to heal blemishes faster. Putting a dab of old-fashioned toothpaste (white paste, NOT gel) on a blemish before you go to sleep helps it to dry up over night.

NEVER!!!
I know toothpaste can dry a blemish up and may seem like it works. but it's dangerous! It can cause an infection if not carefuly and leave scarring! one of my friends recently tried toothpaste, which ended up exacerbating the problem. i think the toothpaste ended up burning her skin, and now she's worried about a permanent scar
use alternatives like tea tree oil and also you can use witch hazel as a toner for prevention |

I never had luck with toothpaste. I used to try everything! That, and the few times I tried it, I felt tremendously silly dabbing toothpaste on my face. |

It burned all the way down the entire skin, It was so dry, I had to apply layers of Petroleum Jelly to soothe it away. And you know, that clogs pores even more. So it was really.... really bad. Don't do it, at all. You will risk deep deep dryness and burning! |

Toothpaste contains the active ingredient fluoride.. so you should be very caution when applying it to skin.
I have done this excessively and ended up with dents in my face where the pimple was.
You can apply a tiny bit if you have one of those huge monsters that are ready to burst, it helps dry up the flare. But otherwise.. it does more damage than good. |
