Ha, Ha. Made you look! (Who could possibly resist the name?)
This is such a great product, I have to tell everyone about it. It originated as a diaper rash ointment (hence the name) but turned out to be fabulous for all kinds of skin irritations.
It comes in a tube, has the consistency of toothpaste, and becomes invisible on the skin. It's becoming famous for it's ability to soothe and heal irritation from "heat rashes, hemorrhoids, chaffed skin, jock itch, bed sores, abrasions, shingles, feminine irritation, poison ivy and oak, minor burns, chapped lips, fever blisters, and more."
It contains Peruvian Balsam, which speeds the healing process, and Zinc Oxide, which makes a waterproof barrier to prevent further irritation.
We find it heals minor rashes overnight, and it's a real lifesaver for anyone who's on holiday and spends too much time in a wet swimsuit. |

HA! HA! HA!
Alohagirl! We jump from BUST to BUTT in no time. How I love this forum!
I am one of the girls who spends too much time in a wet swimsuit in the hot pools. And many times, I found myself suffer some skin irritations in certain areas on my body ( not the feminine one ) from dipping too long in hot chlorinated water.
Should I put it on before getting in the water? How does it smell? I don't want to smell like babies bottoms. Thanks, Alohagirl!:P:P:P |

Definitely, if you have a certain area that tends to get dried out or irritated by hot pools, you can apply it before getting in. It's kind of thick, so I wouldn't try to apply it over the whole body like a moisturizer.
As for the smell, it doesn't have that typical baby product smell. It's more like a mixture of vanilla and cinnamon. |

LOL Ah, gotta love this thread! It made me laugh, thanks ladies
I've actually heard of this product on another forum. It's supposed to be quite good. Probably not something you'd want to leave lying around in your bathroom when you're having visitors
The packaging for it is kinda cute. Check this out.

Oh! Thanks, Mabsy! You always are a skin diva. For sure, if I ever get hold of this cute baby I have to hide it from my sweetie in one of my secret drawers.
That funny looking baby will remind him of one of my "nude" baby portraits my mom always proudly show off with not only her family friends but also MY friends ( why moms always do that: it's the worst form of blackmailing ).
Alohagirl, now I do believe you and I think Thoughtcrime does too. She may trade her favorite Mustela's for this real kick butt paste. Hee!hee! |

Alohagirl!
LOL! I was cracking up reading this post hehe!! I'm glad that you shared this product with us, it sounds like a really good all-rounder for-- even Shingles!! My uncle had it and it left one side of his face and part of his body discoloured because of the loss of pigment in the skin. This product must be unreal to help with that!
Are you only able to buy this online and is it expensive?
Mabsy, LOL they reckon that when you have people over they're likely to check out the cabinet in the bathroom, so it would be a laugh for someone to come across the Butt Paste with the a smiling baby on it. :P

I just had to jump in.....the guy who developed this cream is from my hometown...Covington, Louisiana. He was just a hard-working pharmacist looking for something that would help ease the symptoms of diaper rash. Talk about a rags to riches story! He's a millionaire now....and a very humble man....an amazing success story! |

U.S. drugstores carry it, $9 for a 4 oz. tube. Some places also sell it in a big jar, I guess for big rashes or big butts. (sorry, couldn't resist one more butt joke!) |

Hey Alohagirl, Summertimegirl, Babyfish, Mabsy, and others -do you think this "butt paste", ha ha ha ha, heee, heee, hee, will work for underarm rash also? |

I think it would be great for that. The ingredients are very soothing and healing, and because it's actually a diaper rash cream, it will form a shield against wetness and further irritation.
My son used it this morning under his nose where sneezing and blowing had left him raw (pollen allergies). The butt paste immediately stopped the pain and he's already on the mend.

This stuff rocks. I got some sample packs of it on eBay and used it for a rash I got on my neck from a moisturizer. Instantly soothed it and 2 days later the rash is almost gone. Perfect for people like me who love trying products but have sensitive skin.
Thank you for the recommendation! |
