Anyone tried the Yonka Phyto Contour eye cream? I have done a search, but cannot find anyone who has done a full review of this - and I have a ton of questions!
- what is the texture? (runny? thick? easily absorbed?9
- how is it on eyelids?
- how is the smell?
DH is going to be using the Remergent Microcirculation under his eyes, but I dont think that is really good for eye lids and for hydration (someone correct me if I am wrong).
So, I am looking out for a new eye cream for him to use with it. He has been using Kinerase eye cream (yes, one of my fob offs) and I was planning to have him use the billion Cellcosmet eye cream samples I have ended up with, but he does not like the smell at all.
He is 36 and his main trouble is puffiness under the eye and dark shadows. No wrinking problems (damn those Japanese genes )
Any help with the Yonka one will be great! |

Hi tigertim--i bought phyto contour for my mom last year and tried it myself once. I was planning on writing a review on MUA but ended up forgetting.
the most unforgettable thing about this eye cream, is the smell. it literally made my eyes water, it's really strong rosemary smell, understandable because of the rosemary extracts. my mom didn't like the watery eyes effect, but she ended up using the whole tube because i had gotten it off ebay and there was no return policy.
from my memory, the eye cream was thicker than what i am used to. but then again, i find most yonka creams a little thick.
the tube was weird from what i recalled, because it was not at all airtight really and the tube was way too big for the amount of product inside, so you really had to end up squeezing the tube kinda hard to disperse the product. yonka should change that, not an efficient design at all.
i got this for my mom because she has puffy skin under her eyes and they were a little dark. i don't think this product had a significant effect on her, and she didn't either, so we won't be purchasing it.
if your significant other is picky with smells, he might not phyto contour. you should really request for a sample--yonka tends to give really cute decent sized ones too. hope that helps!
p.s. i just found a bunch of reviews on MUA and looks like the reviews are mixed http://makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp/ItemID=5107/Phyto_Countour_Eye_Cream/Yon-Ka/Skincare_-_Face/ |

URGH.. OK, I gave my mum their Phyto 54 cream and the smell was pretty horrid (strong rosemary/pine).. would NOT like that in an eye cream! Also I thought the phyto 54 was too thick, so I understand what you mean then.
Thanks for the info.. that is exactly what I needed to hear! You saved me some $$$!!! I this forum! |

I used this one time and it was an ok product. The rosemary was very strong (but I didn't mind it) and it did make my eyes water the first couple times I used it. I did notice my eyes were not as puffy (they weren't bad to begin with) But it also didn't help any dark circles. It's also more of a lotion than a cream. Not thick at all. I won some Yonka products so I finished it up but didn't repurchase.
Hope this helps!
