So, I made the lemon spray (Russian recipe) I got from here. I think Doba was one of the persons that posted about it.
The reviews were glowing: Best volume product ever used, super-shine, medium hold....
It seems like I don't know how to use it yet, so I would like to know your experience on this.
The recipe called for 7oz of water with 1 lemon in pieces. Bu another recipe called for 2 cups of water. Finally I used 1 cup of water and 1 big lemon.
Do you apply this straight? or you mix it with more water?
I applied it straight to my hair and it was quite sticky. If I wanted a "wet" look, that would be perfect, but I was looking for the volume part not for a wet look with a lot of hold.
Do you think this can be drying to the hair or bad to the scalp? Summer it's here and I don't know what the lemon in the scalp can do with the sun.
I really want to love this recipe, as many of you said it was amazing for volumen, which it's what I need (I loss a lot of hair)
How do you use it? I applied it to dry hair and then blow dried with cold air. But didn't liked that look. Maybe if I use it on wet hair it will look better, more natural. Also, at night when using the hairbrush I didn't liked the feeling. As the hair was a tad sticky I was afraid of breaking hairs. |

Pre-shampoo oils (coconut and olive oil) for weak, frizzy, dehydrated hair. Henna for white hairs. Water and ACV for final rinse. These are the things that WORKS for me at the moment. |
