WOW!!! I am impressed!! I was kind of skeptical at first, but there was so much buzz about the new korean trend BB Cream (Blemish Balm) that I had to buy one to see for myself if it was really worth all the talk. I was about to commit to buying one of the less pricey ones such as Missha or Skinfood, but my friend was raving about Dr. Jart so I took the plunge and bought myself the Black Label Dr. Jart. My makeup and skin has never looked better. It's worth every penny. The texture is similar to a tinted moisturizer, easy to spread and gives me a dewy look. I apply a little bit of powder to set the makeup and I'm ready to go. It already has SPF 25 in it. It's so light weight that I don't even feel that I have any makeup on at all. I have a slight acne problem and ever since using it, I can see my skin improving with less break out. Looking at the ingredients of the Dr, Jart BB cream this is more like a makeup with skincare properties thing and it really works. After 8 hours of work, my makeup still looks good. I'm impressed!!

Here is a little something I took from a magazine ad:

Whitening & Anti-Wrinkle Formula: Unique triple action formula is aiming at covering skin imperfections, concealing dermal blemish and helps skin rejuvenation with innovation active ingredients.

How to use: After following the daily skin routine, apply generously on face and sensitive area. Reapply it again every two hours if sensitive exposure is constant and also be used as makeup base.

Active ingredients: Arbutin, Adenosine, Caviar ext, Ginkgo ext, Collagen, Camllia ext, Chamomila ext, Bisabolol, Aloe Barbadensis Juice, Dimethicone, Zinc Oixide.

I don't know where you can buy this online except forwww.skinrx.co.kr which is all in Korean!

I picked up the Dr. Jart Enzyme Cleansing Powder and really loved it when I was over in Korea. I also received free samples of their creams (which I can;t remember the name of). It was creamy and once you applied it to the skin it turned into water! It hydrated the skin so beautifully and the hydration really lasted. But I don't know if my skin can handle it now as I've been experiencing hormonal breakouts again.

I've been wanting to try the brigtening serums with arbutin, gingseng and vitamin c. Forgot the name of it. Wuld love tohear if anyone else has tried it.

Dear Cindy,
Like most famous/ high end Korean brands, Dr. Jart is very hard to get outside of Korea. I personally got mine off e-bay off a reputable powerseller: star_cosmetics. She is located in the United States so I got mine really fast. HTH

I also found it on this website. lunabeauty..com

I just started using the BB cream from Skin79. Very happy with it. Interested in trying both Dr. Jart and BRTC after I finish Skin79.

Have heard so much about these BB creams but am still confused. Is the coverage more or less than a standard liquid foundation? Basically these are like foundations with treatment and SPF functions am I right? Also which BB cream is the best for oily skins?

Hey all: I've been using the Dr. Jart+ Blemish Balm (silver label--it's the same as the black label but without the whitening ingredient) for about a month now and am going back to my cheap Neutrogena Healthy Skin Enhancer. The Dr. Jart did a beautiful job of evening out my skin and making it look smooth and nearly flawless (a tough job since I have acne). However, it has not helped improve my skin. I am breaking out as much as I ever have and my older scars, etc. have not improved. And even worse: I've noticed lately that my pores have been getting bigger and darker. I am certain it was the Dr. Jart stuff since nothing else has changed in my routine. I don't even apply it to bare skin, but use it over my Sofina sunscreen, but it's still managed to sink into my pores and enlarge them. Now I have to start another round of BHA and Clarisonic in order to get my skin in order. Ack! Nearly $50 down the drain!

Sorry to dig up this old thread but I would love for some updates on BB creams.

I'm interested in this Dr Jart one but also BRTC, Missha, Skin food and Schrammek (sp?).

Thanks

ive been mad for bb cream hahaha
currently have three kinds:
skin79 dermarx- light to medium coverage, acnefighting and whitening ingredients. slight greyish cast when applied but melts into skintone after abt half an hr.
skinfood aloe- light coverage, feels soothing, really really nice aloe smell, matches my skintone well
liole beyond the solution- medium coverage, feels nice on the skin, also matches my skintone well

im lemming for more Sad Sad Sad i don't know why it has this hold on me!!

i alternate use because each has different texture/coverage but im finding my skin has been getting better since i started using it! i still need mineral makeup afterwards to cover my scars but ive been needing less and less lately Smile

WOW amami aya, you have have tried quite a few bb creams Shock !

The one I have my eye on is the BRTC one cos I read that its the first bb cream that was introduced to the market and all the others just imitated it.

Where do you buy your bb creams from? Ebay?

Also, out of the three that you've used, none of them caused any breakouts?

Sorry for all the questions, but after seeing before and after pics, I'm so curious about bb creams!
Thanks

ive been curious about the brtc one but ive heard it had mineral oil which im afraid might clog my pores Sad
of the ones ive used, i feel like they've helped my acne rather than made it worse. ive got a couple bumps right now but those are TOTM but they arent growing.
you can order off softpeachy (which is referenced in this link) or from gmarket-
http://global.gmarket.co.kr/challenge/neo_category/category_small_s.asp?gdsc_cd=300008580

im also waiting on a bunch of samples i bought from a cozycotter!!! aaah i don't know what it is about bb cream that turns on the 'gotta try them all' switch in me Sad

I was worried about the ingredients- mineral oil, silicones- in the bb creams too, but mineral oil doesnt clog my pores as Im slathering it on everyday!

After reading from cozycots and soompi, I definately know that I NEED and will definately buy - Dr Jart balck and silver label, BRTC perfect recover and Dr Schrammek (German brand)!

Will review once I check out which websites offer the best price!

The Dr Jart really does sound great! I'm about to place an order from a new Korean ebayer...quite nervous about that as I always buy from sellers with 100+ 100% positive feedback but the seller seems quite nice.

If you do get the Dr Jart before me, please do review!

I'll be sure to review the Dr S when I find a website that sells it!

BTW- please keep me updated with the BRTC bb cream too Very Happy

It was last year, 2007, that the bb creams were the hottest thing in Korea...but I'm not that up to date with new trends so only just knew about it last week or so Embarassed but I never like being the guinea pig!

rebecca, what's your friend's skin like after using the bbcream?

i received my brtc sample today. the texture and coverage are pretty good (looks like well-moisturized skin), only the shade is SUPER pale on me.. i'll try it again tomorrow with only one layer, i put on two layers in my excitement lol and then when i was running out the door noticed how pale it had made my face O_O

Its great to hear that cos ordered two tubes- perfect recover and the whitening one!
Was the "paleness" that obvious as the day goes on?
If you use Everyday Minerals or Alima--what shade do you wear?

i only did one layer of the brtc today and the paleness wasn't as much of an issue. i was still a bit paler than usual but it wasnt too noticeable Smile
i actually just use the intensive medium concealer and the tinted silk dust on top; for awhile i was sampling lots of the foundations but i find bb cream AND concealer AND foundation AND silk dust is just too much so i started leaving the foundation out.. as i recall tho im a mix of golden medium and winged butter (for edm Very Happy)

Thanks amami aya Very Happy
Its good to hear that foundation isnt needed cos if the bb cream makes the skin whiter, then the foundation wouldnt match the skin Rolling Eyes

BTW---you ordered Dr Jart yet? I said in my previous post that I was gonna order from a new ebayer from Korea, but I've decided not to due to communications problem. However, I've found someone in HK that sells Dr Jart and other BB creams if you're interested:
http://hk.myblog.yahoo.com/ting-dong
I'm just waiting to pay her now Very Happy
