This lip balm smelled really sweet but it's crap. It totally dried out my lips. I've never had to reapply a lip product so often in my life. I should have checked the prior posts on this forum before I made the purchase...but it was an impulse buy. It was on sale and I was looking for a lip balm with SPF. I will do some "research" in the future. I've never been so disappointed in Blistex until now. |

I have a tube of Blistex medicated berry balm spf 15. It's sort of addicting, because I love the smell... It's moisturizing, sometimes I mix it with lipstick/ gloss. I've never tried the Lip Infusion, though. I wonder why it was drying? |

It's a liquid and it glides on well but it's so damn dry. Most dehyrating lip balm I've ever tried.
I normally use the Herbal Answer or the Lip Medex. |

I tried the Berry Balm today and it's definitely better than the Lip Infusion. It was cheaper too. |

I couldn't agree more -- I bought mine on impulse and tossed it in the trash after about two hours!! |

Must be the worst Blistex product. As much as I love DCT and Medex, I hate Infusion. It smells really sickening (and I am usually not sensitive to smells) and I hate its texture. Its liquid so it wont stay on the lips, it makes a mess and its not moisturising. And I hate the smell. The only good thing is that it glides with a roller which is metallic and I like the sensation of the cold roller. Did I say I hate the smell??? |

I haven't tried the one in the tube. I find the one in the stick tends to melt though.
Here's the link to where Blistex products are sold.
http://www.blistex.com/Canada.htm
Hope that helps. |

I've already sent Blistex an email telling them that I thought it was crap (not in those exact words). |

I think Violetanne was referring to this:

I've tried the Fruit Smoothies lip balms and I didn't like them. |

Yup, the link Yen posted shows the balm I was referring to. I remember I bought it because my lips were chapped and nothing I had was helping, even my pricey philosophy balm. So I bought the blistex berry balm, and no more chapped lips! |

I conccur, the Lip Infusion is too wet going on adn then dries your lips out. I have been usuing Lip Care Stick by Dr. Hauschka and love it! |

Yen, thanks for the link -- i was surprised to see canadian tire on the list of places that sell!
the herbal answer in the stick is easy to find here, but the one in the tube is more difficult to find
i've do have the stick also, but i find the one in the tube much more moisurizing
just noticed -- the stick one says lip balm, the one in the tube says lip protectant. it has a slanted tip for easy application
a guy i know who has tried both also prefers the one in the tube
it has spf 15 like the balm, but i use it before i go to bed, i used to have chronically dry and chapped lips and this has been a life saver -- or should I say lip saver? |

I hated the little metal ball roller so much that I only used it once. It now sits at the bottom of my purse. I doubt I will ever use it again. What a waste of money!

It's still in my purse too. I'll toss it after I log off. *sniff sniff* What a waste of money. |

Blistex sent me a bunch of lip balms to replace that crappy Lip Infusion. I'm very impressed by their customer service. |

yes, lip infusion is much like a gloss instead of a nourishing balm. Came off to fast! |

I have to agree Blistex and Carmex suck. I only use Carmex for SPF but other then that, when I'm inside during the day, I use regular raw coconut oil. |

I second this notion. Was at walgreens picking up a few things and they had it at eye level on one of those holdsters and I couldn't reist. At first I was like wow, it smells fantastic and then the mechanism with the ball and it seemed to glide so nicely, til I tried it on and didn't do anything but make my lips worse. |

i wasn't that happy with this product at first, but i've recently started a job where i'm in the sun all day and i NEEDED to use an spf product, the first day i could feel that my lips had been affected by the sun.
i have to say, this stuff really does do a good job at sunprotection. it's easy to reapply, and i really don't want something thick or glossy, since it is so liquid and really absorbs quickly, it's been great in that respect as well.
after it's gone i may try something different, but i'm so glad that i had it on hand. |

Whewww! I thought I was the only one who had that reaction. I bought some during the winter and my lips dried up like the desert. |
