I'm also looking for a good eye cream to combat my "pillow" wrinkles from sleeping on my side, and also to help with the brown discolourations from sun damage. Since turning 41 this past week, I've noticed that the lines underneath my eye area are getting more and more pronounced, could be the sleep deprivation from my 5 month old also
I've tried several eye creams, but alot of them seem to be very irritating to me, especially the ones with peptides and retinols etc...they make the skin around my eyes very red and sensitive. I'm prone to excema so I need something gentle, yet effective...any suggestions? TIA! |

My eyes are also very sensitive and I've been using Rosehip Oil in the eye contour area and am really liking it. |

Moosette, Hi, I too have sensitive eyes-redness and allergies. I've found that Teamine eye complex works fairly well and doesn't bother my eyes. How old are you and what have you tried? |

I have trouble with the area around my eyes too - I get red and products "sting", plus my eyes themselves are sensitive to a lot of things.
I have just started using the cranberry eye gel from PSF - been using it once daily for about 5 days - no stinging so far, and no redness, and it doesn't seem to irritate my eyes. Of course, I have just jinxed myself, and I will now have a raging rash tomorrow when I wake up |

valmont's eye and mouth contour cream works well and my eyes didn't react to it, it's a good moisturizing eye cream |

I think both of the Cellcosmet gels would be good for sensitive eyes but perhaps you might need a heavier cream? How dry is your eye area?
Btw, I am under the impression that sleep wrinkles occur to a large extent as a result of dehydration - i.e. not drinking enough water. That seems to be consistent with my experience... |

Hi everyone, thankyou very much for all your suggestions!
nomoreneckpain: I just turned 41 on the 10th of September and I've tried mostly drugstore products like nivea coQ10, olay, neutrogena and dermaglow advanced eye therapy from shoppers drugmart...I don't mind the dermaglow, but it doesn't do much for my sleep wrinkles! I've also tried the relax-a-line but it irritated the skin around my eye.
Mabsy: your probably right about not being hydrated enough, since I've had my son a little over 5 months ago I haven't really had time for myself and barely have time to eat, never mind remember to get a glass of water once in awhile! I will have to start remembering to drink more water! My eye area isn't too dry, except on the occasion where something irritates it and excema develops. |

If you are in your 40's you should invest in a very good eye cream/gel. It is very important and you are worth it! |

Hi Moosette, I'm 41 also, and started using Janson Beckett's Okusil and Alphaderma CE about 10 mths ago, they don't irritate my skin and seem to be helping with the wrinkles - only drawback is they are not cheap, but like Skincare says - you're worth it!

I have very sensitive skin & I have been using Guerlain's Happylogy eye cream & I'm very pleased with it. I can't use any eye cream that is scented or too rich so the Cellcosmet one didn't really work for me, but I really want to try their eye gel next time. |

This is a very interesting thought! I'm often very careless with my water consumption (drinking a lot of coffee instead.. ), but I'm trying hard to get better. I'll certainly pay some extra attention to whether my pillow wrinkles diminishes with increased water consumption. |
