I don't really have any friends who love beauty products as much as me.
I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have the internet to talk to like-minded people.
None of my friends understand (or really care) about the differences between an Armani Cream blush and a Stila Convertible or finding the best mascara.

Don't worry Emma2006 I don't think you're mad at all! Yes all of my friends & family etc are always complaining about the fact that I am way too obsessed with make-up & that I waste too much of my money getting stuff I don't really need. So thank god for forums like this |

Darlings, don't you know that is why a girls BEST friend is a gay man. They totally get it. Moreso than other women. Go figure.
I dunno, somehow women try to stay in the closet when it comes to admitting how obsessed they are with skin, hair, etc. (maybe we just want everyone to think things happen "naturally"?), even the ones who obviously are dont want to discuss it usually, but gay men are so out there when it comes to obsessing about their appearance. Refreshing, very refreshing. Though we tend to do a lot of this with each other. |

I thought I was nuts until I found forums like this and makeupalley. |

My family thinks I'm nuts too. It seems every week I'm switching something it my skincare regime. My SO saw me putting out all the products I use in the morning, and asked how I could get ready in 45 minutes using all that stuff. |

HA!!! Unless your gay guy is like mine... My best GF is a gay guy amd I have loads of other close gay guy buds.. {Seeing that in print makes me think I need to get out more} Anyway, mine refuse to tell me I look anything short of FABU! Really gets irrating at times.. I've had to go find a total stranger to give me the truth before...LOL But I'd never trade any of them for the world! |

The only person I have found that truly understood my love of cosmetics, creams, skin care and good smelling things is my current boyfriend. And he is completely NOT gay or meterosexual which makes it even more fun for me as I don't have to worry or be suspicious
He told me his mom taught him at a young age that it was totally normal and good for his skin to use products, and he said has been wearing wrinkle cream since he was 13 years old!!!
He smells AMAZING all the time too. I'm so lucky |

I am bubbling with jealousy Why can't mine be taught at a young age of the wonderful world of skincare... |

Pele-I buy IS Clinical for my son in college, pure luxury item. But I'm trying to help him learn at a young age. He spilled some of the Proheal and I cried, he didn't realize how much it cost! |

I know the feeling. I once knocked over a bottle of Cellex-C High Potency Serum. It spilled on my bed and floor. All I could think of was the serum (and not the stains), I rubbed my arms, hands and feet over the spill. Thank god, it wasn't my bigger bottle. |

Yen, I can just imagine you rolling on the bed and floor trying to rescue as much Cellex C as possible

My sister asked me one simple question about skincare and I went on and on in a reply email. After listing all the products I use she emailed back saying I was far too young to use all of them. I'm in my thirties and didn't agree with her at all! Now is the time, seize the day!! |

I tried my best. It was not a pretty sight. You should have seen my sister's face when I told her what had happen. She asked about the stains on the carpet. |

Yen, I hear ya, I hear ya.
I was DEVASTATED when some of my Cellex-C HP serum was "lost" due to spillage (on a pine table.. oops).. I also tried frantically to soak it up onto my chest, arms, etc. Still have the stain on the table.. but rather than making me feel bad for the ruined table, it just serves to remind me about my "loss". |

My friends know I'm mad But they do ask me about new products they've heard of.
As for spillage, well the cause of most of my spills was my cat. The cure was getting a dressing table that was too small for them to jump up on. I got a very small half cabinet with small drawers that fit the most used goodies in. I mounted a framed mirror over it and stand cause a bench is only a ladder to a cat That was after losing a few serums and dropping a few creams due to their need to be right there no matter what I'm doing. |

Yeah, that carpet reminds me too. I still feel the pain whenever I remember. No one understands the pain until they experience the horror. |

I agree with you, but I don't have sisters. It would be my mother or my aunt. They simply cannot relate |
