Hi Ladies,
What is the best way to apply liquid foundation? A sponge, brush, or fingers? Thought maybe they were trying to sell the brush!! thanks so much!! |

A sponge drinks too much of your foundation imho.
I use my fingers as I like the foundation to warm.
A foundation brush also creates a good effect though. Personal choice. |

I moisturize my skin first then I put concealer with a brush, and finally I use sponge to apply foundation. I finish everything with the touch of loose powder.

| I used to use a wedge sponge but agree with Emma that it did suck up too much foundation so now I just use my fingers as well. |

| I have tried using my fingers, a sponge, and a brush. I greatly prefer using the brush because it seems to really help me to apply the foundation (or tinted moisturizer) evenly, and I never get makeup lines this way. It really helps blend it in, so it doesn't look like I'm wearing any, even up close. I only wish I had discovered this trick sooner! |

| rie--i usually use a foundation brush when i apply foundation and my fingers to blend certain places. a brush is worth its money though, it will cause you to use less foundation. just make sure to invest in a really good one as i have used cheap ones, and they don't blend as well. i like chanel's and lancome's foundation brush. HTH |

| Using your fingers spreads bacteria and you also get to thick of an application. Sponges soak to much foundation up and also there is chemicals in sponges that react with the foundation and natural oils in the skin that change the color of the foundation. I always say use a foundation brush. You should wash the brush once a week as well. |

| Theskingirl82--i wash my brush after every use because after the second time, it doesn't spread as evenly for me. how do you get yours to work for a week? |

I have used lancome's brush and it is very good.
Fabulous reviews on MUA too. |

| I use my brush but when I have to hurry up I use my fingers. I also clean my brush after every use. |

| I just find I get the best & most even coverage when just I use my fingers to apply & blend the foundation. I have tried using foundation sponges & brushes, but I still end up using my fingers instead. |
