Hello. I was wondering if anybody has any ideas on what I can do for my dark spots. I have a darker spot on my forehead and one by my eyebrow. They first appeared when I was pregnant but they didnt' go away. They aren't too bad right now but they get much worse in the summer so I was hoping that I could try something before they get too dark. Any ideas would be really appreciated. I have tried lemon juice but that didn't work. TIA. |

I've gotten dark spots from birth control and have had the best results with Skinceuticals Primacy C serum in the day and Skin Medica TNS serum at night as well as taking MSM supplements everday. I was told it's melasma when it's caused by hormones which means it's an internal condition that is harder to get rid of. A few months ago, most of it was gone, but then I was at an outdoor flea market and even though I was wearing a hat and sunblock, the dark patches came back. I'm treating it the same way and patches of it are going away again. It doesn't really fade, parts of it just go away when taking the MSM. |

Robin,
Probably sun protection combined with one of the skin lightening serums. People have had good results with SkinCeuticals Phyto+ which, from what I recall reading about it, is meant to break-up melanin deposits.
Good luck! |
