peter thomas roth buffing beads are quite wonderful, i have strange skin that can alternate from rash-like to acneic (am a recovering cystic congloberate acne sufferer). i was worried about the PTR beads initially because most scrubs are capable of microscopic scratching, so far this scrub has yielded excellent results-soft skin, no redness and no irritation, plus visible exfoliation.
however, this post is really about my attempt to use yonka's gommage.
i feel that this product is below average; very difficult to remove, once dry i ended up trying to scrape it off with my nails as it dried almost like an egg white mask. i gave up and used a wet facecloth to remove it. my skin did not look/feel exfoliated and was slightly irritated.
this product was frustrating and not worth the price.
big kudos to peter thomas roth's exfoliant!! |

Cyberianhussy,
Does the YonKa gommage have tiny exfoliating beads in it as well, or it just relies on you rolling it off your skin when it suffiently dries?
One thing you may want to try is to apply it to slightly damn skin. It might be easier to remove that way, but you lose some of the exfoliating effect though. I really like the Phytomer gommage exfoliant (the Decleor was ok but not as good as Phytomer). The Phytomer one has little exfoliating beads in it as well and this actually helps you get it off your skin.

What I don't like about this product is the pulling and tucking of my face when I have to rubbing it out after it dries off. I really think all that pulling is very bad for my skin.
I still have the tube at home sitting there after having it for 5 years. |

i had tried exfoliation but i usually end up disappointed either with those with beads or with aha or salicylic, it looks like it damages more of my skin and dried it out, i alwas promise myself not to exfoliate again but i still end up doing it and regretting it |

I used a sample of this a while agao, and I do not like the sensation either. It feels like you're really pulling and rubbing at your skin, and the end result, I personally didn't find that spectacular either.
Eve Lom does a product called Rescue Mask, which isn't an exfoliation product, but you have to remove it in the same way. Letting it dry then rubbing it off. I really like the mask and it left my skin feeling smoother than the Yonka gommage. |

i got sample of this too and used it once, i am still trying to figure out how to use it. even after reading all the reviews on MUA, i can't figure it out. i do love the scent of the gommage though...so citrusy. |

I can't use any mask that you have to roll off, it's just too much for my skin to tolerate. |
