I've been searching for a no sulfates shampoo for my thick, coarse, color-treated hair and the ones I've tried left me disappointed. I found that most of them had low lather and strangely left my hair feeling drier than before.
The shampoo I'm reviewing is Elucence Moisture Benefits shampoo and it is fantastic! It lathers well and smells lightly of peaches. It rinses clean and my hair doesn't feel dry at all...in fact, it almost feels like I could go without using a conditioner.
I use the Moisture Balancing conditioner along with shampoo. I usually have to pack on the conditioner, but I don't need to use alot of this, probably due to the fact that the shampoo itself is so moisturizing. The conditioner can also be used a leave-in treatment.
Also, the price of these products is very reasonable. The downside, though, is that they're not easy to find other than purchasing online. Right now, they are on sale at Naturally Curly.com : http://www.curlmart.com/Elucence-p-1-c-9.html
10 oz shampoo is $6.00 and 10 oz conditioner is $8.00--that's 50% off regular price. Not sure how long they'll be on sale for, though. |

I think Eulcence got the most recommendations on a thread on the long hair community forums about the best moisturizing shampoo and conditioner a few months back. Sadly I've yet to find it in the UK. |
