According to Gaylord Hauser's Treasury of Secrets:
Help for Scrawny Necks:
Massage warm peanut oil into the lines of your neck for excellent results.
Oh, and a lady should always keep her neck well oiled at all times b/c it has fewer oil cells than the face and is the first place to show how many birthdays we've had.
(Worked for Cleopatra evidently) |

We must be born on the same day, Fantasia. I love to take care of the skin of my neck as much as my face's. Where can you get peanut oil ? My Chinese GrandMa ( the other one is Irish) uses peanut oil sometimes in her salads. Is that the one we can use on our skin. Please forgive my ignorance |

By the way, my GrandMa used to play Cleopatra in her highschool drama class because of her famous raven hair and ivory skin and long nose. I'm deadly serious! What a coincidence ! May be there is a connection beweent peanut oil and Cleopatra ( in reality and in drama) after all. Hmmm...that makes me wonder. I just think too much. Who said most beauty junkies are just materialistic ? |

Just the ol natural peanut oil your grandma uses, honestly. NOw you can think of me and Cleopatra whenever you eat the salad, ha ha ha.
Your grandma sounds absolutely astonishing--how lucky you are to be part of her gene pool!!!!!!!! I bet you could share alot of her beauty secrets with us?
Ahh, as for Cleopatra, I have learned through my studies in college that she did indeed use oils to improve her complexion. I believe everyday she was massaged with a combination of sesame and olive oils, heavily scented with musk.
Then, once the oils had a chance to soak in, her slaves would "scrape" the access oils along with any dry skin cells away.
Doesn't it sound sooooo relaxing. |
