I've mentioned before that I use Prevage once a day with my IS Clinical regimen. I've never been able to precisely pinpoint its effectiveness. In fact, at one point, I stopped using it. When I did, I noticed the difference - again, hard to pinpoint, but my skin just didn't look quite as healthy, so I reincorporated it.
The new formulation Prevage MD has been out for awhile now, but I only recently started using it, as I had a stock of the original.
After using this stuff for a couple of weeks, I've have got to stay that this stuff is just AWESOME !!! God, what a tremendous improvement they've made! The old formula was a sickly yellow and really didn't feel very good going on. It did have a slight mattifying effect, and since I have oily skin, I did appreciate that. The new formula just glides on and gives your skin the most gorgeous glow. The overall effect is also very apparent, even after just a couple of weeks. My skin has been looking very good overall, but right now, I'm amazed by the increased plumping, toning, and resiliency that the new Prevage MD has added. I really am delighted.
I should note that this product is NOT the one that is sold at Sephora, etc. but the Prevage MD. It's a little more costly than the other, and has a higher concentration of Idebenone. I've never used the other, so I can't really speak to its effectiveness... |

How is it for firming? I tried the TNS for firming and fine lines and although I got a glow, it did not really work for the other. ALso, where can you get it? |

You're doing it again Katee Now, my wallet is asking me (since it has a life ot it's own lately) where I get the MD version since all around us is the Arden version? We've actually been looking for it since most web sites now stock the arden version. |

Oh for the love of God, Katee.....knock it off!!! I can't take any more enabling I did not like the original Prevage - for me, it didn't do much...if anything...but this one sounds loads better.
My list is GINORMOUS!!!!
I was just about to order the TNS Recovery, as a matter of fact it was in my EDS cart...I wonder if the Prevage is better?
Unfortunately for me, IS Clinical didn't show much improvement....maybe my skin is just immune to good products.
I'm trying to find the magic bullet!

My wish list is so long now, mostly with IS Clinical and Juvedical, I'm not really sure when I'll find the time to use all the yummy new products I find I simply must have . |

Laughing... Ah I know - the lists do grow!
Here's something in the way of consolation though. I had said that I think the Prevage MD is a bit more costly. Actually, it's not! the .5% Prevage, which is the standard Sephora product, is like $155 I think. Prevage MD, which is 1%, lists for $115 and right now, amazon.com is selling it for $95 - better than you're likely to find even on ebay I think!
As for AnnieR's question about firming, it doesn't do that skin tightening thing that some topicals do, but the overall increase in resiliency and the plumping definitely do sort of "lift" your appearance. I don't think I'm being completely clear, but part of that isn't just a product of being inarticulate (DUH!), it's because the overall effect of the Prevage MD is a little difficult to describe... |

Poo...just checked out Amazon and they only ship the PrevageMD within the US . There's a chance my hubby may have to go to the States on business soon - usually I am sorry to see him go away when he has to take a trip, but I so have my fingers crossed that this one comes off so he can bring me lots of goodies home! |

I saw the MD version on Amazon but it says it takes 3-5 weeks to ship.
The price does seem good compared to regular Prevage and TNS.
Guess I'll try some derms/med/spas in the Austin area and see who carries it. |

Well just called my med/spa who does my IPL's and they carry it at 105.00. I think I may have to sneak out and get some when I run an errand this afternoon. (I'll get hubby to wait in the car so as to break him in slowly). |

I'm so envious of you guys in the States - we're so behind over here! I don't think the UK has even heard of such a thing as a med spa - just the odd cosmetic surgery place. I'd love to be able to drop into a reliable spa and purchase great products! Current mood - jealous!!! |

ACK! Just today I opened my last stashed bottle of the orginal Prevage, since I was always satisfied with it. Never any problems. Just like you Katee, I can always tell a difference if I go a week or so without it.
I just know if I went ahead and ordered the new MD version I wouldn't finish my current bottle. Usually I use sparingly (1 pea size once per day), but now I think I'll try using 2 pea sizes twice per day. |

Well I did it-went for it and picked it up this afternoon. Okay, it was instant glow and exactly what you said, hard to describe what it does exactly, but I love it sooo much better than TNS. It smells better and feels great going on. Just one question, how do you use it w/ your IS Clinical routine, before or after your serums? I used it tonight, just after cleansing but nothing after it but Hydracool, in case I had a reaction. It added that missing ingrediant to the plumping since the IS Firming Complex is too strong for me.
Thanks so much for the tip, great product. |

I tried the original Prevage when it first came out, and had nasty, and I mean a nasty allergic reaction to it. I have heard of others having reactions to it as well (the original formulation).
I'm wondering now that it is reformulated if I should try it again, or stay far, far away, lol! |

fifi - There's a company called shopthestates.com which provides you with a US postal address and will forward items on to you. There is a very reasonable fee and you need to pay shipping costs.
They also have a buying service for websites that don't accept UK credit cards - again, for a fee.
I've used it in the past and was impressed. |

I forgot about them! I checked them out a while back and they looked pretty efficient, will have to have another look - could be worth it if I did a lot of shopping all at once. Hmm... |

Ahhh AnnieR I'm glad you agree!! The way I use it, based on my derm's recommendation, is in the am. I cleanse my face, apply the Prevage, wait a few minutes (when I'm not frantic and running late ), then I just proceed with my normal IS Clinical routine...Super Serum, HydraCool, Sunscreen. I only apply it in the am - my derm said that there's no need to apply it in the pm.
Gina, if you had an allergic reaction to the old formula, I would stay away from it. More likely than not, your reaction was to an active ingredient, and I don't think the active ingredients have changed any... |

So once a day is plenty. I'll try it in the am routine. I'm so excited that so far no rash. Since I have very sensitive skin it is always a risk. Do you put it around your eyes? |

Yup I do.....around my eyes, under my jaw, etc..... |

Idebenone causes reactions to some people. I bought some from Skin Actives (very reasonable) and the packaging said that some people get breakouts or redness from it but if you do they'll exchange it. I did not get a reaction. |
