Well, hello everyone!i just joined the form cuz i have seen how helpful it seems and how nice the ppl are and how helpful you guys all seem...well, i have a lil problem, here it goes....
i am only 20 years olds and i am starting to see my expressions lines underneeth my eyes starting to develope...its freaking me out!...they arent extremly deep, but like little baby lines that are starting form and it seems like it is geting more and deeper each day..well, ofcouse i have been taning during summer times, i have always used the best protection products though b4 i went out, but i know they cant protect the eye that well...so the results are coming out very slowly...
i know i am not the only person that has these lines at this age though, i have seen even worse...they look like they are 30 and they still dont care..but i do and i want to make a difrance and stop this from happening...
i have orderd Murad Essential C Eye Cream and i asked for the Cellcosmet Eye Contour Cream...i am planing on using the murad one during the day and the cellcosmet one at night, what do you think???...
What do you think of these cream???..i want my lines to go away so badly...and i hoping that the creams dont just pulp it up for the looks, i am hoping that it acutally gets rid of them and will slow down the premature againg prosses...
pleaseeeeeeeeee someone help me, i am geting worried about it!..and scared...
with love

Do you smoke? If not, maybe the lines aren't as pronounced as you think they are.. You seem to be pretty stressed about it. Don't give yourself a heart attack! ![Shock](images/smiles/shock.gif) |

It's great that you're using something at the first sight of the lines, but if you don't stay out of the tanning bed, it's just going to get worse and worse. You just can't tan. It's the worst thing possible for your skin. Try a self tanner. |

I'm totally with Tosca. Tanning is very bad for your skin. Remember to ALWAYS wear sunscreen everyday, even under your eyes, to prevent further damage. I haven't tried Cellcostmet eye cream but I've heard it's great for removing lines. Murad eye cream is probably a good choice as it has sunscreen in it. |

lipglossbaby
my suggestion is just one approach....
I think you’re one the right track thinking antioxidents, like vitamin c.
i don’t know about the products you mentioned, but i do know that the formulation must be the proper ph (low ph) to work.
you can read some info that tangal posted here:
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=18491&highlight=vit
I don’t currently use vitamin c - I may in the future, but currently copper peptides suit me just fine.
There’s a bit of science behind these products, and you can visit the skin biology website to read tons of info about them, how they work etc..
i’m pretty new to this forum myself, but I am always suggesting these products for all skin issues. They take care of the basic needs of your skin and help heal the acid mantel.
The use of copper peptides, biological healing oils (bhos - emu, squalane) and gentle hydroxy acids, along with a gentle cleanser (no harsh detergents and neutral to lower ph) provide the skin with a “nuturing environment”. The results are younger, tighter, dewier, looking skin.
it's not instantaneous, but those i just mentioned you would probably see in a few weeks to a few months time.
Copper peptides can be used with stronger hydroxy acids over a longer period of time to deal with other issues like sun spots and scarring - but those aren’t the things you’re dealing with.
i’m a few decades older than you, and have only been “using” for about a year. mostly gentle usage. i still have my time-honored lines, but they certainly are not as noticable as they were. i think the emu helped a lot with this - my skin was once quite dry, and now is much better hydrated.
yes, it helps with moisturization - so it will appear better, but i’ve found with continued usage, my skin is more hydrated even before my morning application.
hope this helps |

Make sure you are wearing sunglasses that have UV protection and are polarized...very important
I didn't do this until I was in my early thirties. Lucky me my eyes aren't TOO bad.
Try not to squint (if you do get your eyes checked), don't smoke, don't bake in the sun, use sunscreen (yes even around your eyes), yada yada yada...
I am using Cellcosmet eye cream and haven't gotten any milia. I can't say that it has helped with fine lines but it does a nice job of hydrating without being greasy..IMHO.

I think the suggestions that were given were pretty good. I'm glad you are beginning to use sunscreen in that area. Another option is to use supplements, like vitamin C. |

you don't mention what the weather is like! at your age i imagine much of the damage is superficial. i'm sure other women here will vouch for the fact that cold/windy and hot/dry weather can really knacker your skin.
more importantly - are you drinking at least two litres of water a day? eyes are one of the first areas to show signs of dehydration. Skin takes 90 days to renew itself from within so if you do make big changes don't expect to see the proper results for three months.
my other questions would be -
are you eating enough oily fish? sardines, mackeral, tuna and the most potent natural anti-aging food, salmon (never buy farmed). you should be aiming at at least three portions a week.
have you been cutting out fats? don't, your body needs omega 3,6 and 9 fats. nuts, olive, pumpkin, hemp oils. these fats will also help you lose wait as they satisfy hunger!

Hi lipglossbaby! My first piece of advice is of course, you have to stay out of the sun! From here on out the sun is only going to make those suckers worse. Besides that, I have two suggestions for you. The first is for a product called Chrysalyx--- you can buy a 2 week trial packet atwww.greatnewskin.com. It's WONDERFUL stuff--- it's really light so it won't clog your pores, but it contains retinol for fine lines, dmae for firming, and a ton of other antioxidants and skin rejuvenating ingredients. I think it could be just what you are looking for!
Another good cream for the eye area is the one fromwww.bestbathstore.com. You only need the tiniest tiniest bit and it will help revive your eye area. You can even request a free sample!
HTH--- please keep us updated! |

Sun can definitely do a number on your skin. I have a friend that when I first met her, I thought she was 5 years OLDER than she actually was. Then I saw a picture of her from 4 years ago...she looks like she has aged 10 years! Why? She is out in the sun sometimes 10 hours at a time...she works outside a lot for her job and doesn't wear sunscreen.
She's 31 and looks closer to 40!
Wear sunscreen and never tan.
I really think that if women truly knew and understood what type of damage those booths do, they'd stop immediately. I mean, who wants to get wrinkles and look older than they really are? It's not worth it in my opinion. Nor is getting skin cancer...I know a girl who got skin cancer at 19!!!! because of indoor tanning! |

Yes, an antioxidant such as topical vitamin C is good, because it will help prevent further damage and help with what you already have.
Definitely wear sunglasses when you go outside, even if it doesn't seem all that sunny. Especially if you have light colored eyes, which are particularly sensitive to the sun. You don't always notice when you are squinting, but this is a big part of where crow's feet come from.
And yes to sunscreen and no to tanning.
Most of all, just enjoy being young and forget about how you look. It is not worth it.
And remember to put sunscreen on your arms, neck, and the backs of your hands. |
