I found a new IS Clinical supplier site: SPECSpa (dot com). Actually, Google Base found it for me. I did a search for IS Clinical and it came up under the sponsored links, along with a few others.
First I took the Skinterra survey and I was somewhat irritated because I felt like some of the questions were too vague when it came to my concerns and some of the questions were too nosy. The SPECSpa survey (which is on the sales site) seemed like it was just as thorough when it came to the important stuff but it also covered eye care in greater detail.
I'm always worried that these websites are run by sketchy people, so I googled the name of the doctor who runs it. I found his credentials on another site: diabeteseyecaremd. Then I called the number and, shockingly enough, the actual doctor picked up. I guess it was over lunchtime and his receptionist was on break. Eek! I didn't know what to say so I sheepishly admitted that I was calling to make sure his company was real. He was SO nice, though, and even went through my questionaire with me.
Anyway, the e-mailed SPECSpa response to my questionaire came with a 15% coupon for all new customers. I ordered the Active Serum and the Super Serum, as well as the Eye Complex and C Eye Gel. I'm officially broke but happy about doing something good for my skin.
I ordered it Tuesday and it was shipped out the next morning. (I'm watching get closer to me with my tracking number). My order was (definitely) over 70 bucks so I got free shipping.
Wish me good luck on my new regimen! And thanks for the indirect encouragement on trying IS Clinical, katee! |

I'm glad I could help! My products arrive tomorrow and I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve.
Has anyone else done the questionnaire? |

Kiki
I did the questionnaire yesterday.
The recommendations I got are:
Morning
Cleansing Complex, Super Serum, Hydracool
Evening
Cleansing Complex, Active Serum (odd months), Firming Complex (even months), Hydracool.
Eyes
C-Eye Gel & Eye Complex
I also got a note that if the bags under my eyes are hereditary, the products might not help |

Don't be sad! I read in allure that 9% of women have eye bags and like 30% of women have eye bags and dark circles. We can all keep each other company.
The doctor is an ophthalmologist (eyes, right?) and so he probably is pretty cautious about recommending things to his new "patients." Especially eye stuff.
Personally, I'd rather he warn me up front that something might not be exactly what I'm looking for (rather than try to rake in the dough while I end up disappointed).
He told me on the phone that I might not need the eye serum/complex duo at this time in comparison to some of the other products. I ended up ordering it, though, after reading about all of the preventative properties that they have. It may not help me with everything but every little bit helps!
(I'm trying to stay as eternally optimistic about life as long as possible) |

Let me know how you go with the Eye Gel and the Eye Complex as I will not be ordering them for a while. I have just started my Cellcosmet eye contour cream and ultra eye complex. (I've only started using them 5 weeks ago so I'm still waiting to see if they do anything for me.) |

My husband has dark, puffy bags under his eyes that are hereditary. I gave him one of my vit. C serums (PSF 12%) and his eyes are way better now...I'd say a 50% reduction in both bagginess and darkness. He uses this serum happily, every day now. |

Were your husband's eye bags the puffy kind or the fatty-collections kind? Is there anything that helps if it is the fatty kind? |

I don't know for sure, but based on the fact that the Vit. C serum helped, I guess they are at least partially the puffiness-from-water kind. I don't know if anything other than some kind of liposuction procedure would work for the fatty deposit kind. |

just a reminder.... you *can* actually order IS Clinical from here at EDS. they are wonderful and helpful, free shipping over $200 canadien, and they give you a really generous supply of samples with every order.
call me old-fashioned, but i found out about IS Clinical from this forum so i bought it here.... EDS and their forum members have been so supportive (pre-ordering and post, as well as the initial interest) that i just wouldn't feel right getting it anywhere else. i'm not saying you *have* to, however. just that you can. and i think with all the bonuses (including the member discounts), it's definitely worth it. |

I got my response and I wanted to share it with you...
By the way, I am using the Cetaphil cleanser...
Thank you for completing the SPECSpa Personalized Skin Care Consultation form.
According to your responses, your skin is oily in the T-Zone, very fair, and breaks out. You would like to reduce fine lines and crow’s feet around your eyes, clear up and prevent acne break outs, lessen the number of whiteheads and blackheads, minimize pore size, moisturize your skin and diminish facial lines and wrinkles.
You can continue to use your cleanser and should continue to use your sunscreen.
You can continue to use the vitamin A product underneath the Active Serum if you feel that it is not irritating to your skin. Another option would be to use them on an alternating basis (i.e. Retin-A on Monday, Active Serum on Tuesday, Retin-A on Wednesday, etc).
The color of the Active Serum and Super Serum may change over time but this is normal and in no way decreases their efficacy.
The combination of C Eye Gel and Eye Complex contains Vitamin C in addition to Vitamins A (retinol) and E, which are the main ingredients of your Cellcosmet product.
Based on your responses, I would recommend the following IS Clinical regimen for you:
Face and Neck
Morning:
1. Cleansing Complex
2. Super Serum
3. Hydra-Cool Serum
Evening:
1. Cleansing Complex
2. Active Serum (odd months) & Firming Complex (even months)
3. Hydra-Cool Serum
Eyes
Morning
1. C-Eye Gel
2. Eye Complex
Evening
1. C-Eye Gel
2. Eye Complex
Body
Morning
1. Body Complex
Evening
1. Body Complex

It's here!!! YAY!
And holy samples, batman.
I got the items I ordered in perfect condition plus samples for everything they recommended for me that I didn't buy (except for the Body Complex).
I've never been so excited about washing my face. |

Skincare -- be wary of the Super Serum or at least try it out before you buy it. it breaks a lot of people out and i'm not sure why they recommended it. usually Pro-Heal is suggested. as for using vitamin A and Active -- that would rip your face to shreds. it hurts just to think about it! definitely alternate. all in all, not terribly impressed with their recommendations. (and what's this with odd and even months???) |

Not sure but I am using prescription Vitamin A cream to be worn 3 or 4 hours a day.
I already bought Super Serum about a month ago and so far so good! |

Your post scared the bejeepers out of me!
I washed my face with my Cellex-C Fresh Complexion Foaming Gel, putting on my Retin-A Micro (which I've been using for 1.5 years) and then my new Active Serum. No irritation, no redness, no stinging (just a kind of "cooling" sensation).
Then I read your post and I've been waiting for my face to be ripped to shreds. Seriously--I completely freaked out!
It's been a couple hours and I'm happy to report that it didn't happen. |

I got nearly the same comments from Specspa. They are:

Thank you for completing the SPECSpa Personalized Skin Care Consultation form.
According to your responses, you would like to reduce fine lines and crow’s feet around your eyes, decrease undereye puffiness, lessen the number or whiteheads and/or blackheads, minimize pore size, and diminish facial lines and wrinkles.
The combination of C Eye Gel and Eye Complex contains retinol in addition to Vitamins C and E, which are the main ingredients of Cellcosmet eye products. The Eye Complex is a lighter cream than the Cellcosmet products and it would be a less expensive alternative.
You may have a hereditary component to your eye puffiness that may not respond to treatment. |
I am taking this recommendation with a grain of salt as I think their recommendation would be biased.
However, as mentioned earlier, I would love to hear from others who have or are using ISC's eye products.
I think I might give the PSF 12% vit C serum a try some time soooon to see if helps with my eye bags. I ordered the Super Serum and Cellular Skin Rx C + Firming Serum last week. I hope I don't break out with the Super Serum but I don't have acne problem (I'm over that phase now).
Can I use the Super Serum/Rx C + the Active Serum for my under eye area?
FYI I don't think I will be ordering from Specspa. I don't think the 5% discount difference (for me) will affect my loyalty to EDS. There was a recent End of Summer 15% discount just recently. |

Kiki678 -- did not mean to freak you out, very sorry. perhaps your skin in much tougher than most people.... i'd still watch yourself carefully if applying every night as the result is cumulative (like RAM alone). i, for instance, use Active with the Firming Complex on top every other night (a retinol product on the other) and that combo is too strong for a lot of people -- yet i can easily tolerate it. as i said, everyone is different and the RAM/Active combo would just be too much for most. "rip to shreds" was a late night hyperbole, my apologies again! truly. still, do be careful.
Ninetynine -- i see you didn't change your order . you shouldn't have trouble with the Super Serum -- i am just acne prone, so.... as for using everything on the under eye area, i do. but i also dilute it slightly or put on eye cream over. i started slowly just to make sure the area could tolerate it. and be careful of getting too close to the eye itself as i imagine it would be quite unpleasant if you got it *in* the eye itself. |

Thanks for the advice. I intend to follow up with eye cream after I use the Super/Active Serum in the under eye area. |

Kiki, since you've been using Retin-A micro for so long, seems like your skin is immune to irritation from retinol. Lucky you!
If you are thinking about getting PSF 12% for your undereyes, they also have a 20% that would pack more of a punch. |

After the first 6 horrible weeks of Retin-A Micro, my skin is indeed stronger. That which does not kill you... |

Update!
*Ninety Nine*: I wanted to give you an update as requested on my use of the Eye Gel and the Eye Complex (and I figured you'd see it if I posted it here).
First off, let me say that I love IS Clinical. Now I know why everyone raves about it! My skin has never looked as good as it does now. I better start including it in my yearly budget.
The Eye Gel and Eye Complex are great. I've used other eye creams before (Lancome and Clinique) but before now I'd never seen any actual results. After a week of using them, my undereye pigmentation seemed lessened and the fine lines I despise were GONE. The really tiny lines right underneath my lower eye lashes are still there but that may be because I haven't been putting them close enough to my eye. I like that the Complex feels light but rich.
I haven't posted in a while because I had a huge exam yesterday and I had to study. Usually I break out horribly when I get stressed, so I was expecting my skin to look terrible. Whatever is in that Active Serum and Super Serum must be working because I didn't get one pimple on my face. Actually, my neck broke out and now I'm thinking that I should be putting the products on my neck, too. Does anyone here do that?
I ended up ordering the Cleansing Complex and the Body Complex, too. I feel in love with the samples of the Cleansing complex. Also, the booklet that came with my order has all these pretty pictures and I couldn't resist.
: Exactly how close to your eye lash line can you put this stuff? |
