Bear with me, it is worth it.
Here is my morning:
1. set alarm for 6am (wishfl thinking). alarm goes off, I snooze it.
2. glance over at one point and see it is 6.30 and go back to sleep
3. wake up and hubby is in he shower. I never even heard his alarm go off (usually between 7 and 7.30) - I am so tired (went to bed at 3) - I glance over and see it is a quarter to and I panic as I was planning to leave home early today.
4. we go through morning routine. glance at clock and it is half-past, ask hubby if he has time to go to ATM on the way to work. he does. he leaves.
5. I am ready for work, but pop on to EDS to do a post before running out the door..
6. phone rings. it is hubby. at the station. He says "do me a favor, can you please confirm the time"... I look at the clock and started to read it but remembered it was fast, so told him to hang on while I moved to the PC to check.
7. I read the time... "it is 7.49" I say. My brain goes foggy, something is not right... first thought "oh god, he is late.. our clocks have stopped"
8. Then hubby goes "honey, I left home am hour early" He said "I was walking down the street and there was no-one around which I thought was odd and I just looked up at the train times and it said 7.49" I think he thought he had entered some kind of twilight zone. (what the heck, I thought I was in some kind of twilight zone? an hour early? HUH?
Now it took us a moment to piece this together... his cell battery was dead, so today there was 7.30 alarm. His alarm never went off (usually 7am, but I guess he forgot to set it?)... he heard my alarm go off and I guess at some point during my snooze-a-thon he glanced at his clock and saw "half past" and jumped out of bed. I was very when I had to confess "but honey, I set my alarm for 6"
so, now we have a nice early start to Friday... and scientific proof that the brain only sees what it WANTS to see. We must have looked at clocks at LEAST half a dozen times between getting up and him leaving and not once did we notice that it was an hour earlier than our usual time.
Any wonder I am so tired. |

Haha! That sucks when things like that happen!
Our office is closed every second Friday and on one of those Friday's one of the guys I work with didn't realize it was a day off, and came into work! He realized his mistake when he saw the parking lot was empty! |

well one day many moons ago, my ex drove me down to the rail station on a chilly winter morn.. I had gotten out of the car and was about to walk off when I realized I was still wearing my sheepskin slippers. lucky he had not driven off!!
what can I say, I am a dork. |

i used to work in a nursing home and had to wear white from head to toe.
I went to work one day and was going about my business and started noticing strange looks and whispers from my co workers.
I looked down and saw that i was still wearing my old burgundy bootie style sheepskin slippers.
i had to phone home and get my dad to bring my uniform shoes to me...
very embarrassing
i felt like a real dummy |
