Argh! I still have 90% of the "old" Epidermx left!
Do they actually say what the difference is? |

Lin - I'm not a big fan of it to be honest. It felt way too rough on my skin and I found it quite hard to get it to the stage where it starts to ball up like it should. I bought mine of eBay if I remember correctly. |

I've used it and bought it from goldportbeauty.com. It works beautifully for me (use it about once a week) but I do not get near the dead skin rolling off as I used to before starting:
BHA
IS Clinical
Clarisonic brush
I think the combination of the above has been helping with normal exfoliation; however, I did have very nice smooth skin after using Epidermix II so I will continue to use it and also because I feel it helps products absorb better.
FYI, I do use for manual exfoliation: Clarisonic brush, Epidermix II, and microfiber cloths. I just switch up the microfiber/Epidermix but use the brush everyday at least once. |

OK, interesting.. according to that information, the new one is not a "cream" base, but more serum-y.
waiting with baited breath to hear from someone who has actually used it. |

OK, I used it. These are the differences:
- smaller jar (now 1oz)
- new smell (coconut.. it was very yummy)
- the "cream" is much more lightweight and not quite so grainy
- only need 1/2 the amount as old one
- no longer balls up in large eraser-ish clumps, is a fine powdery "shavings"
- takes less than 1min to do whole face (I like this bit! fingers got tired with the old one. )
- when washed off there is no longer that "slimy" (for want of a better word) feel on the face.
I would give this a thumbs up and it is definately better than the old one. |

i've used it a few times and love the yummy coconut smell ... very refreshing ... and it feels a lot less harsh on the skin than the old one. |

I just ordered the Epidermx II. I have 1/4 left of the regular Epidermx, but can't wait to try the new formula. The smaller size jar on the new product is okay with me since this stuff seems to last forever. |

I received a sample of the Epidermx II last week. The coconut smell is nice and not over-powering. I still have a full jar of the regular Epidermx, but I like the II better. (I think I read that you can use the II everyday). The whole process is faster because you don't have to wait the 5 minutes for the balling effect. I plan on using up this full jar of regular Epidermx, after that-I intend to get the II. |

On the strength of everyone's raves, I ordered it yesterday together with the Silkia Camellia Oil from Goldportbeauty. They were kind enough to email me and tell me they marked the package "gift' to avoid me having to pay duty - gotta love that
I'm dying to try both products. Has anyone got any experience with the Camilla Oil? |

Tiger_tim - would you say it's easier to use overall? I always had a problem with the previous one where it would ball-up if I used it on the back of my hand but I'd rub for ages on my face and it wouldn't do much (other than irritate my face). The shorter period of time required sounds like perhaps it might be more fool-proof?

The one thing that worries me about using this rather than my beloved original Epidermx is that I believe you need to apply it daily for best results. As I wear fake tan on my face, that's going to cause me problems by taking it off every single night. |

well, I have not had it ball-up for me, but if done as a "treatment" what you are left with is like a dusting of sand to brush off. I am sure if you just did that once or twice a week you would have skin just as soft as the daily treatments.
From what I understand, using it daily is using it as a treatment (wrinkles, uneven skintone, acne scars etc.) If you just want that lovely soft, clear skin that microderm gives, then I see no reason why you would need to do the short burst every day. |
