Hello again everyone!
I just have a question about how to order or work my regime.
I am currently using the Dr Hauschka range for oily skin
A.M Dr Hauschka Cleanser, toner and oil followed by sunscreen and nivea eye cream Q10
P.M. Dr Hauschka Cleanser and toner and Roc eye cream.
I also use the Roc microdermabrasion tool 2 or 3 times a week and 1 or 2 times a week I do the Dr Hauschka facial with the steam bath and clay mask.
Now my question is this from reading these boards I feel it would be benefical to incorporate Retin A and Vitamin C serum however I am unsure how to incorporate these?
Should I apply the Retin A after the Dr Hauschka Toner or should I omit the toner?
and in the morning should I apply the Vitamin C Serum after the Dr Hauschka toner and before the oil?
I feel somehow that the Vit C serum might block the benefits of the Dr Hauschka day oil or that the toner might adversely affect the retin a.
Has anyone used a combination successfully?
Also is the Vitamin C serum the same as an antioxident serum? I assume so but I am just so confused as whoat to do in what order!
Please help!
Your humble student in the art of skincare!

I would do the following:
am: cleanser, toner, Vit C (wait ~10 minutes to let it absorb), eye cream/oil/SS
pm: cleanser, toner, Retin A (wait ~10 minutes, though if you use some forms of retinol, including GC, I believe you have to wait ~30 minutes), eye cream
(I believe it may be the case that the Dr. H doesn't recommend moisturizer in evenings, but I would be aware of your skin as you add the Retin A and maybe reconsider as it can dry out your skin. I would also start out with a relatively low dose of the Retin A or maybe try Green Cream first?)
And yes, Vitamin C is an antioxidant (though there are antioxidants other than Vit C).

Hi Stella Marie,
Thanks so much for your response, your recomendations make sense so I will try applying the products in the order you suggested and hopefully waiting the 10 minutes between products will let each product do it's own thing successfully!
Ah whatever happened to the days of soap and cold cream!
Thanks again,
Willow. |
