Hi all, Does anyone have a Tempur-pedic mattress? I'm considering one but I don't know anyone that has one. Are you glad you bought it? Any positive things with your sleep, neck or back pain? Any disadvantages? Thanks. |

LOVE MINE! Its the best investment my hubby and I made. So comfortable, I have back issues and he has a neck injury from combat years ago, the matress and chiropractic adjustments are the only thing that help us both. You really do sleep better and deeper. Also there is no more squeaking during....you know! The only disadvantage is you dont want to get out of bed and evey animal in the house thinks its their new napping spot! I would highly recommed it to anyone. |

I totally agree with Vonstella. We have the pillows too, and our little cat loved to sleep on mine.
They're very comfortable. The only thing is that they do seem to warm up quite a bit. Great for winter, but not quite so good in the summer. Helps a little if you use bedlinen made from natural fibres. |

My hubby must have a firm hard mattress and I need softess yet good support. So our compromise was a good firm mattress and a 3" memory foam topper. It is perfect for us both.
Weird thing in Esquire mag I think Brad Pitt suggests this same combo, Strange thing to add in a magazine piece I though. |

After reading this, the first thing that popped into my head was, " I should tell my SO." lol.
But on another note , is it really that nice to sleep in that you don't want to get out of bed? I have back issues as well (although undiagnosed by doctors since I haven't asked them to) and waking up is such a pain on my regular spring mattress. This is an interesting idea. I think I may look into this bed! Any extra info would be appreciated, lol. |

I only have the pillow and love it! I prop up regular pillows if I'm reading in bed, but for sleeping, nothing beats the Tempur-Pedic pillows, IMO. Very expensive, but so worth it for the neck and back pain that I do not have anymore. I replace mine about every 2 years; IME, the foam is not as responsive after that point -- they still work good though after that point. |

Thanks all for the replies and the ref to prev. threads. I may have to go with a quality topper for both the heat issue and the money. Thanks, Janet. |
