I have been using it for 6 months now and I had a few bald patches that I wanted to fill in and they did and at the 6 week mark my lashes were falling again and thinning out and at about 8 week mark I got another bald spot and it took about 4-6 weeks to grow to the length as the others since JM was making my lashes longer. For about 3-4 months I had no fall outs that was noticable (Mid June thru Mid Sept. Sept was my 6 month mark with using JM. Now again I have a bald spot and lashes are thinner (not as full as they were) and they don't seem as long. I really like how JM worked on my lashes cause when they were long and lush, when putting mascara on they would touch my brow bone and look false. Now they look like crap and I can't put mascara on cause of the missing lashes...I think I may have lost up to 12 or more lashes, not sure. I'm still gonna use it, cause of the great results. Has this happened to anyone using it for more than 4 or 5 months. Does anyone know if this is normal? Am I just in a shedding process and the hairs are falling out at the same time? HELP, I'm very upset out this. Thanks. |

I know quite a few experienced this. I myself am going through this also. I think I'm about into my 4th or 5th. My lashes on my right eye are falling out more and more frequently and did have a small bald patch, but now they're growing back. It's obviously shorter than the rest of my lashes but growing which is hopeful.
It does get a little frustrating for them to reach a great length and then start falling off making them thin out. Mine aren't as lush as they were before but hopefully they'll be there again soon. |

I just started using this, now I am scared. I don't want bald patches! I don't have them now and i don't want them. What about this serum would build lashes only to have them end up falling out? Your experiences seem like more than shedding. |

JAN MARINI SAYS ITS CALLED SYNCRONIZING THE FOLLICLE...SOME LASHES WILL GET ON THE SAME CYCLE AND FALL OUT AT THE SAME TIME BUT THEY WILL GROW BACK. Its just fustrating because you have thinner looking eyelashes at times and small gaps that look wierd cause your other lashes are longer. |

This has been discussed before in other threads. My understanding is that you will lose those lashes at that point anyway, serum or no serum. The serum might help with growth and make your lashes longer, but regardless of that, lashes have growth cycles in which they eventually fall out. A new one grows out again.
It just *seems* more dramatic when you're been using the serum - as your outfalling lashes are longer/thicker than before. Plus, you might have grown additional lashes -so there's more of them now - and these also have to fall out at one point. Please correct me. |

this is happening to me now. i have one bald spot which was there before using the serum, but now have another one a few lashes over. it is kinda weird that it is only on right eye and bottom lashes only. it's almost one month since this is happening, so hopefully, they will grow back. |

they do! i had one bald spot that was over four years old. i was deleriously happy when they seemed to grow in -- only to have them fall out again. guess they were too weak to stay.... after several trial runs, they are seemingly here to stay! patience patience patience! everyone is expecting miracles immediately, yet everyones body clock and hair growth rate is different. we want it to work NOW as it costs so much money. well, it doesn't work that fast. just slow and steady.... i'm nowhere near the long, tangled lash stage but, then again, mine have always been short and pathetic and i've only been using this for two months. even if i never get to the outrageously long phase, i will be happy. i have eyelashes, real eyelashes. decent eyelashes and no bald spots! i'm not embarassed any more.... |

hi momtwin--i had i think 3 gaps on my lower lashes last time we communicated. the one on my left eye has filled in nicely and one on my right eye has also. but there is a stubborn area near my right eye that refuses to grow any lashes, i keep slathering it with extra serum which doesn't work but seems to make the lashes near it grow like crazy. i ended up having to trim them because mascara application really magnified how much longer they were than my other lashes! are your gaps filling in ok? |

Me too, I have this one bald patch that's always been there on my lower left eye and just doesn't want to grow any hair on it at all. OH well, everything else seems to have filled in. Espeically with my awful fake lash experience where I tore out half my lashes trying to get those darn things off because the b/f bought the wrong glue. |

Well...its been 9 months since using JM.And the gaps did fill in but after they become long they seem to fall again and I get gaps all over again or they look sparse. I hear this is normal that my lashes will look sparse from time to time because of the lashes sycronizing and that there are more lashes. On one eye it has been 6 months and no big gaps until this weekend...i lost 7 maybe more lashes on my good eye and it looks crappy...but 6 months is a long time for no real big fall outs. They should grow back, but with me it takes more time than I would like them to grow back. I am still using it every night because of the sparse lashes right now! I'm running out soon and need to get Revitalash until CarKate's Serum comes out. |
