Hi Girls (and Guys!)
This may be quite a long post so please stick with me..
My problems, as some of you may know, are oiliness, blackheads (mainly nose and chin), white headed lumps and bumps to the side of my ckin, and occasional acneic cysts that pop up around my jawline and underneath.
I have tried several lines of skincare in the past from highstreet brands to salon brands (a few examples: Dermalogica, Decleor, DrH, Comfort Zone, Elemis, Yonka and more). I've also changed contraceptive pills several times, have had numerous courses of antibiotics and all the topical applications (creams, gels etc) that I can have from the Dr. I've had courses of microdermabrasion, facials and two courses of light treatments (meant to kill acne causing bacteria). I've recently been to see a Dermatologist and have been given yet another course of antibiotics. I go back to the Dermatologist in March, with a few to possibly going onto Roaccutane. I know Roaccutane is very contraversial and I am aware of the side effects, but those of you who have suffered skin like mine you know you get to the point where you'll try anything. In addition to all this I've drastically overhauled my diet and fitness regime, drink lots of water and fruit tea, cut out caffiene, eat fruits and veg etc etc. NOTHING, has made a difference and as you can imagine, I must have spent ££££ over the years.
So my questions are, what the heck can I do to try and improve my skin? I'm currently using up some Pevonia products I have left. I've also been using my homemade OCM, ACV toner (seems a bit strong for my skin) and jojoba oil to moisturise. I have samples of Decleor YY oil, YY balm and essential balm (I know I've tried Decleor before but it doesn't seem to break me out like it did last time, I think I may have used the wrong products before).
Just to add even more problems to the situation, I'm going travelling in about 4 weeks and will be away (in Oz!) for 3 months. I need products for my holiday that are simple, easy to use and easy to carry, but also effective. I find that, opposite to what people seem to think, my skin actually doesn't clear up in the sun, it's just the same if not worse. I was looking at a Ketsugo face wash and moisturiser? I'm really sorry about the length of this, but I've got so many issues to address I thought I might as well do it in one go. Thanks in advance....... |

You should try Earth to Body products. I've tried quite a few acne lines over the years myself (Proactiv, Murad, Serious Skin Care, Juice Beauty, PSF, etc, etc). The last dermatologist that I saw, recommended either Accutane or Spironolactone. I was on Spironolactone for about a month and then gave up on it. I didn't want to be on any hormone controlling pills.
Earth to Body would have to be the most effective acne products I've ever tried and they're all natural. I highly recommend the Emu-Neem Soap and the Clay-Neem Treatment. |
