Ive just received a sample set of mineral makeup from the following http://www.smokymountainminerals.com

I have used it for the first time today. When applying it at first I thought it was not so good - im used to alot of coverage but actually after finishing putting it on i must say (for a first time user) it looked good Very Happy
The only thing I wasnt too keen on is that is made the crepiness under my eyes look worse and very dry. Is there something I could do to improve this. Also, as I use Renova every night I can get a little flakey skin every so often. This has happened the last couple of days again and the mineral makeup did make these areas look a little more flakey. I know my flakiness comes and goes so maybe on days like this i should use cream foundation

I never used to put any MMU directly under my eyes. As they're prone to dark circles, I applied a light-textured concealer there instead that didn't creep into fine lines.

I also avoid my under eyes with the MMU, it makes the fine lines look so much worse!!

I can apply my MMU under my eyes lightly with a concealer brush, as long as I have put a good amount of moisturizer there first and let it set in. That made a big difference for me. Prior to making sure I hit the area with moisturizer, I also had the MMU settling in the fine lines under my eyes.

I'm confused.

I just got my sample kit from everydayminerals.

They sent me a concealer and a foundation.

do i use the concealer first and then apply the foundation?

The concealer is in a powder form and I've been used to the liquid form. How do I go about applying it?

Do you guys think it will be too heavy if I use both?

I intend to hide redness and blemishes

Thx

Dip a concealer brush in the concealer powder and dot over the spots you want to hide, under eyes, around nose etc., then go over your whole face with the foundation powder and bigger brush. Then you can use finishing powder after that, it seems like alot, but it goes rather fast!!

I don't apply my MMU all over the undereye part (no one should really be putting concealer there anyway, as it tends to emphasize crepiness and fine lines). Instead, I make sure my eyes are well-moisturized, then use a concealer brush to apply the minerals to the inner corner and down along the half-circle (of my eye bag, basically). I don't go any further than the middle of my eye, and blend carefully, dusting some finishing powder on top to keep it on. HTH!

you can also add a little moisturizer to the concealer before applying to spots you want to conceal. My favorite way is to use the concealer powder dry (with a concealer brush) right after I put moisturizer on...then I let it set and dry for about 5 minutes before I apply the foundation. This works very well for me & looks flawless. HTH
