I'm looking into buying a new foundation...I'm curious about Clarins. I am going to buy their Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch base but wanted to know if anyone has tried their foundations. I'm really interested in True Radiance Foundation. |

i received little sample tubes in the past, i forget which foundation specifically, they came in little red boxes. i remember thinking the foundation was quite smooth and moisturizing (maybe a little too much for my mostly oily skin). maybe you can ask for a sample first, clarins is usually great with that. |

I've used their foundation but it was a couple of years ago. It was liquid, medium coverage and had flecks of gold in the formula so it kind of had a gold sheen if you were looking for it. It was ok, did I love it..no, I did'nt repurchase...they are great about giving samples and if they claim they don't have one ask them to make you one so you can wear it for a few days. I would say clarins is like armani but not as good... |

The Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch looked great ion my skin (until it gave me spots ).
I tried a Clarins foundation (one of their lighter consistence ones) and it was way too heavy for me. |

huh! I'll try samples first. I can not deal with another breakout because of foundation. I'm looking for a fuller coverage foundation for special occasions. Maybe I'll have my makeup done there so I can wear it all day to see if I have a reaction.
Thanks for the feedback! |

I don't think Clarins really makes a full coverage foundation. From what I've read from MUA most of their foundations are pretty light-medium in coverage. |

Have you tried Chanel Pro Lumiere? I got a sample of this and liked it. It is a fuller coverage than their Vitalumiere. I am currently using Prescriptives custom blend and still use my Clinique Repairwear. Both are full coverage but don't feel heavy to me. When I wear the Clinique, I don't even need concealer.
I just got a magazine this weekend and they mentioned a breathable ful coverage foundation. Dermacia maybe???? I can check if you want. At work now. |

I got a sample of clarins and wore it all day. No reactions and I liked the way it felt so I went back the next day and bought the foundation (True Comfort) and the base. Today is the first day I have worn both all day so I'll report back later to let you know what I think. I looked at Chanel...maybe that will be my next purchase...yep...I have an * spam alert *. |

It says full coverage but I think it is pretty light coverage. Covergirl Pure/Revlon ColorStay/Estee Lauder/Perscriptives all have much more coverage than True Comfort w/ spf15. It is almost the end of the day and my face feels very comfortable! No oily tzone etc. I am hiding a pretty nasty breakout and I was hoping for a little more coverage (wedding to go to this weekend) but its good enough. I'll do a review at the end of the week....I want to wear it a couple of days in a row to see if there is a breakout waiting in the wings. |

My mom tried a sample of the True Comfort (I think it is) and liked it. She has really dry skin and it worked well for her. Another that she is trying is one from Chanel. She REALLY likes this one because it gives her more of a dewy look and looks natural. But both, she says, give her a nice natural glow. |

I love Chanel's Vitalumiere - I didn't like the pro one as it was too drying on my skin and too heavy. |
