Hey,
About 5 or 6 months ago my face started getting really oilly around my nose and under my mouth (chin area). It seems to get a little worse during when its hot outside. Can anyone help me out here? This is causing me to break out every now and then and its very annoying! What can I use to cure the oilyness??
Thanks!! |

Hello nikeman,
For the oiliness on the T zone, MD Formulations Facial Cleanser and Clearing Complex is my first recommendation to everyone. It works for me and also for my friends. |

what if i were to just just the clearing complex? Right now i use Mary Kay Skin Management for men facial cleaner and I really like it and i'm afraid if i switch soaps that may cause me to break out in itself.
In other words, could i only use the clearing complex as a spot touch up kinda deal?? |

Let's keep ity simple: a cleanser, and an oil-control lotion. While I realize that you're presently using a Mary Kay product, I am unfamiliar with it's ingredients. I therefore recommend using Dermalogica's Dermal Clay Cleanser, followed by the Oil Control Lotion.
Dermal Clay contains kaolin clay, which will absorb any excess oil, without over-stripping the skin. It doesn't sound like your skin is truly-oily, but prone to oiliness when it's hot & humid outside. You could also try Dermalogica's Special Cleansing Gel -this is balancing, but doesn't have any oil-absorbing properties to it.
The Oil Control Lotion is great! There are micro-sponges in the formulation, which will absord excess oil. However, this is still a hydrating product, and will not dry out the skin.
Tip for summer: if you're more prone to break-outs in those oily areas, due to sweat & oil congestion, keeping a package of Dermalogica's Anti-Bac. Wipes will refresh the skin, and nix any bacteria. |
