Hi all, just joined the forum today and have yet to try anything. My curiousity about Juice Beauty products led me here and I think I need some help.
I have had mild acne my entire life but lately the hormonal breakouts have worsened. The skin care routine I use right now helps but does not include an acne treatment that I can leave on. Here's where Juice comes in ... I want to try the Blemish Clearing Serum. I am looking for options that are natural and gentle but effective ... if that exists!
My skin is not overly oily now but it does over-react easily if I go overboard with cleansing/product.
Whew ... think that's all.
I am really looking forward to any ideas!
Thanks! |

Hi cherylane Welcome to the forum! The juice beauty serum helped clear my acne marks but it clogged my pores. What has been keeping my acne at bay is a combination of tea tree oil and squalene oil or tea tree oil and emu oil. I use the juice beauty green apple peel about 3x per week. HTH! |

Hi,
Do read other posts on Juice beauty but personally I found them very ineffective. I will not repurchase these. The blemish serum did eventually cause more red spots and the green apple peel (sensitive at that) caused my face to go scary red for a long time (after 4 mins of application time)
I think you should start by checking your cleansing/toning routine to make sure they are not overly drying out your skin since this encourages more oil production/clogged pores. I find that Decleor oilycombo cleanser and toner are great. Decleor does a great aromapurete mask which is a staple for impurities for me and a good peel (better than Juice B I think) called Phytopeel. With clean skin, do hydrate with Decleor Matte skinfinish fluid and I highly highly recommend emu oil overnight for acne/blemishes.
Others here use stronger acids and exfoliants and I am slowly starting to experiment with them. There was another post recently about acne treatments that had lots of responses along this line. Good luck! |

I've been struggling with acne all of my life and like you I prefer more natural solutions when possible. Right now I'm test-driving 2 new natural acne serums: one from escents and one from Best Bath Store. The one from Escents smells really amazing, since it's lavender/tea tree oil based. The one from Best Bath Store doesn't smell the best but it contains really amazing ingredients like manuka honey, aloe, comfrey, etc. I'll report back when I've used them more, but you might want to check them out.
As far as masks go, I've actually gotten AMAZING results from the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel. It's great for acne, red marks, and just restoring that magical glow to your skin. It's definitely a staple for me. I also use a clay mask from Burt's Bees. It's cheap, all-natural, and since you mix it up yourself you can customize it for your skin by adding toner, green tea, etc.
For natural skincare that's good at treating acne the best line I've found so far is Zenbiotic, found at Zenbiotic.com. I use their toner, O2, and Phyto Moisture and the difference those products have made in my skin is HUGE! Also, the ingredients are really nice and they don't use preservatives. HTH! |

Thanks everyone.
I knew there would be good suggestions here. I have been reading the forums for ideas and there are plenty!
I do have masks I use for deep cleansing from Lush - I am a LUSHie and love their products. Those help.
I am also careful about not over-cleansing, as that has been my problem in the past.
I will definitely look up some of the products mentioned.
Thanks again! |

I've used the Blemish Serum and I find that it loses its efficacy with time. I highly recommend Earth to Body acne products. www.earthtobody.ca They're all natural and they've done wonders for my skin. I recommend the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel and Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel for fading acne marks. |

The best results I've had for controlling time of the month hormonal breakouts has been from taking evening primrose oil, MSM, antioxidants and trace minerals (selenium, zinc, potassium, magnesium) regularly. PLUS, topical daily use of a salicylic acid cleanser and acnederm lotion (20% azelaic acid). This seems to work for me to control the "giants" that can show up around my chin area each month. I especially like the acnederm which seems to really have an effect on my skin's texture, oiliness, sebum production in those problem areas. Nice side effect to azelaic acid is that it will help to reverse post-breakout hyperpigmentation, too. Good luck! |

I believe Rodan+Fields is the best line for acne. |
