So now that it is getting colder outside my skin is feeling drier. I am currently using Physician's Formula mineral powder, should I switch to a liquid for winter? Will it be more moisturizing? And if yes, what one...Georgio Armani/Laura Mercier? I don't wear much makeup at all so I need something that is VERY light/minimal coverage? Maybe just a tinted moisturizer? Any recommendation for a tinted moisturizer WITHOUT spf? THANKS!

I think you dont need to switch to a liquid foundation, just a good moisturizer and primer (i just started using the new primer - skinprep- from Coverfx, its available at SDM (http://www.coverfx.com/products/skinprepfx.html) if you're in canada - i think its great and feels healthier than putting smashbox primer on my face...everytime i put on the smashbox primer - altho it does keep my makeup in place - but i felt i was always doing harm to my face, feels very industrial strength... while mellow primers like laura mercier - no harm, but no results too) to lock the moisture in and if you feel dry you can always have a refresher spray handy (i use jurlique rosewater refresher)
laura mercier's TM is good but there's a discussion on it and most of us finds it to be darker than our own skin and hard to find a right match... a suggestion was made in another thread for BB or La mer TM... altho i have not yet tried them.
btw, why do u want a TM with no spf? dont u want more protection? |

I wouldnt switch to a liquid foundation for winter. I would suggest stepping up your moisturizer with something like Emu oil and HA and sticking with your MMU. If you really want a TM I think its gonna be hard to find one without SPF, at least I dont know of any! |

I do not use any foundation....think it clogs up pores. Have you ever tried not to used any foundation? If you have good skin then nothing beats a natural glowing skin. |

I just like a very little something to even out my skintone. Right now I just use a really light dusting of powder. |

Laura Mercier has a tinted moisturizer, but it has spf 15. It looks very natural, but I still need to wear moisturizer under it. You can get a sample at the counter and try before you buy it. |
