Been useing this concealer for a while...can't say I'm impressed though - unfortunately.
On the back of the 15ml tube it says "Apply directly to blemishes over make-up or after your moisturizer. Reapply as often as needed. Non-comedogenic"
First off - I don't understand how an anti-blemish cream can do it's job on top of make-up. Does anyone else?
Second, the colour does not blend too well with my skintone...it goes a pinkish-beige on me...which I only noticed coz of a few pictures taken 3 weeks ago typical
Third, and worst of all, it made my skin produce more oil - I got a shiny T-zone, which i've never had before, by applying spareingly on a few places on forehead, side of nose, and chin. Not to mention my cystic bumps from hell just under my jawline. I religiously put this on every morning thinking/hopeing that it would help. Nope, made things worse.
I stopped useing Double Action Tinted Concealer about two weeks ago. Whilst I was useing it I should add that I each night used a mild aspirin mask with aloe and org. honey and each morning my cysts were calmer and less painful. By evening they were red and tender again. After I've stopped useing this concealer i've continued with the same nightly ritual of aspirin mask as above - and -ta taa! the bumps aren't history but they are getting there slowly and without any more pain.
So would I repurchase this product?: No
Would I recomend this product?: No
It's gone in the bin!

Hi ruth,
I have been using this for a few weeks as a spot treatment only under makeup. I do not know if it is meant to be used like a regular concealor. I was told that it just helps one treat a blemish while wearing makeup so i would use a little over the spot and blend in.
I have found it works very very well and i am sorry that you found it ineffective. Why don't you take it back for a refund if you can? I have found Decleor great with that if has not done anything for you. |

I generally don't like these products in general. Although I havne't tried the Decleor I DID used the one by Guinot. The SA told me it's supposed to be a concealer that helps heal blemishes, basically it's just a tinted blemish cream like the Decleor. Basically it dried fairly quickly so it was hard to blend (it was pretty thick). It not only did not help with my blemishes, it DID make my skin more oily while ENHANCING the flakiness/dryness of the pimple. I hated it so much and gave it away to someone that hopefully had better luck with it than I did. After that time I stayed away from these types of products in general. |

...reading through the review I might have been a little bit harsh but it's all still true anyways
Blacklace - I don't think I can return it, I bought it at EDS and am in Europe. I haven't thrown it away yet, so if you want it I'd be happy to send it to you!!!! There's LOADS left!!! |

Hi Ruth,
Thanks for the review, I'm always looking for something new to cover my blemishes but I won't be trying this. Funny you said that you noticed it's peachy color in a photograph, I noticed this recently too and my concealer went straight into the trash bin |

Thanks for the review. I was thinking to get it with the Ylang Ylang oil. Now I will look for another acne concealer. |
