I didn't have room in my makeup bag for any of my large bottles of cleanser, so I thought I'd very cleverly pack a small bottle of Mario Badescu's Enzyme Cleanser that I had on hand that I had not tried yet. Big, BIG mistake. First of all, the stress of traveling and the strange AC/heating system in my hotel room already made my skin a bit on the dry side, but washing my face with this stuff definitely made it worse. It was VERY stripping and VERY strongly scented as well. After I used it my face was just unbearably dry and uncomfortable. I think using this cleanser for any extended period of time for almost certainly not only make my skin dry, but irritated as well--- I definitely am not planning on using it again.

You know what..I didn't care for any of the Badescu products that I've tried. I know that they have received good reviews elsewhere..but my skin did not like the cleanser at all!

I really liked the Enzyme Cleansing Gel before I tried OCM (which I've been doing since finding La Vitton products). I found the MB ECG worked well to clean my skin and not overdrying it. My skin tends to be dry after cleaning (which is why I switched to OCM almost every night). I agree that the gel has a strong scent, but I found it to smell clean and fresh so I didn't mind it and the scent disappears after done washing.

The good thing is that when filling out the online skin consultation form at the MB site, I think the Enzyme Cleansing Gel might be standard issue for anyone wanting to try it. Friends of mine with different skin types all got the ECG in their sample kits (as did I).

I tried so desperately hard to jive with Mario Badescu cleansers...I tried 3 or 4 of them before I just gave up.

I don't know what it was about them, but they didn't like me! Embarassed

People seem to be liking their new Acne cleanser, but it has SLS in it. Embarassed

I can't say I HATE this cleanser but I certainly do not like it. No stripping for me at all but afterwards my face didn't feel clean at all - and I used it in the AM! It didn't leave a film on my face it just didn't clean! So I threw it out. It did smell nice though.

Their toner sucks as well, WAY too much alcohol, very drying and will sting if you have sensitive skin - I think I had the Special Cucumber one (it's yellow). Basically none of thir products worked for me.

It all sucked for me! I returned everything after 3 months, and now I have $120 credit sitting around.

I got the MB link from EDS one day and filled out the questionaire. I recieved a bag full of samples to my delight, and a pamphlet specifically telling me what to do with what and when... it was very nice. But I have acne prone skin, and not one sample they sent me was specifically to treat it. I was sorely dissapointed. I tried the cleanser and toner. There was nothing spectacular about it. Oh well. I hear their acne products are worth it. Maybe I'll try again. IDK
