I recently bought BE's Beauty Blush and Bikini Eye Glimmer.
Hmmmm... very nice
The Beauty Blush is a rosy kind of pink. I dust my cheeks every morning with the silghtest touch and I am off to the office. For those of us who find it difficult to get the loose foundation right, this blush offers a good alternative in the sense that it adds a certain glow and opulence to your skin tone. And, the added high point is that its staying power is good - I needed no touch up even at 5 pm.
As for the Bikini Eye Glimmer, I simply love its colour. It's a tender pink - very nice for Spring, Babyfish. For those "can't get those dull sleepy eyes to wake up" mornings, it's great. Definitely brightens up the eyes. And, it's really feminine looking. As for its staying power, it did not perform as well as the blush. It faded by about 2 to 3 pm. Another snag is that it comes in a pot without the usual filter with holes, so it's kinda of dangerous to try to do any touch up in the car - imagine a pink powdery lap.....hmmmm. But, still, lurvvvve the colour.
Cheers
Jenny

hey, jenny, Do you also try the other eye shadow/glimmer colors from BE?? I heard a lot of praises for the bikini eye glimmer, unfortunately, I cant wear pink, for some reason, it makes my eyes look swollen . .. although I do think the color looks great when I tested it on my hand ! Could you recommend some colors for neutral eyes? I am searching for the colors that are wearable for daily use.
How could you test the color at the store counter? I never test the e/s on my eyes due to the hygiene reason, and most of the time, I have my e/s on which makes the direct testing impossible, but then the problem comes, the colors that look great in their pots do not necessarily look gd on my eyes, this generates a lot of frustration searching for the right thing |

Hi bbiz
I have only tried Bikini - guess I was lucky - did not try it at the counter either.
If you check up MUA, you will find the ratings for BE's Nude Beach, Celestine, and Bare Skin rated very highly. These are very neutral shades. Maybe you can try these.
I will review my next purchase of BE's eye shadow once I have a chance.
Cheers

Thanks for your reply, jenny!
True .. I read similar reviews too .. unfortunately, since I can only buy the BE makeup online, somehow, I just feel uncomfortable to judge the colors by looking at the screen, they should have some more local stores carrying their makeup ....so that I can actually go and check out the colors!

Oh Jenny! We have the same taste on colours. Hee hee...I am so happy that you also like BE Beauty Blush. Well, when I first looked at it I was very scared and thought only clowns would wear "some pink like that" hee hee...but I was wrong, it's such a gorgeous pink ( Mabsy, where are you?).
For BE Bikini Eye Glimmer, I would love to wear it just because of its name ( Honey, even my eyes wear bikini today, let's go down to the beach!:P:P:P). For sure it will be on top of my list for the next shopping trip.
Jenny, I also have Butterfly Eye Glimmer, it's a very strange shade of pale orangy yellow and it's also soooooooo beautiful.
For this Spring, I stay away from all dark colours for makeup and clothes. Only my hair is darker, I quit hi-lighting my hair and start enjoying my natural light brown hair. I trust God's artistic works on me. Hee hee hee! |

Hey Babyfish
I read great MUA reviews on Butterfly. But, when I looked at the on screen colour, I was a bit sceptical cos of the yellow undertone of my complexion. I was wondering if it would make me look jaundiced, ha ha.
Now that you tell me it is loooovvely, it will be on my next purchase.
Incidentally, I am doing TNS Recovery complex. Just started a few days ago. Will post review later.
Have a nice day, or is it sweet dreams at your end

Jenny, BE Butterfly just looks orangy yellow in the jar but on our skin it has beautiful warm creamy buttery pearly yellow that can help brighten eyelid that has dark or dull colour. For me, it neutralizes those lavender veins that webbing under the transparent skin of my eyelids. For a few hours a day, Butterfly give me a bright-eye-look of a person who seems to have a dreamless sleep the night before. :P:P:P |

Hey Babyfish
Do you consider BE Butterfly to be a warm colour or a cool colour?
BTW, have you tried the other blush colours?? I am curious about Glee and Flowers. Have you tried them?
Cheers
Jenny

I think I'd say Butterfly is a neutral shade because it's a yellow with a touch of pink in it. :P
Beauty is the only BE blush that I have. I'd love to try Glee, Fantasia seems to be very happy using it. |
