I bought this today but like it so much I'm already reviewing it...I got the shade ecru which is the lightest neutral. In fact, it was sold out in several shades so it took 2 stores. I only had on concealer and a little powder because of my habitual lateness from staying online until the wee hours. So I get back in my car and put this on in the mirror. Couldn't believe it...very velvety perfect shade with good coverage...I give this a thumbs up so far!!! I normally wear chanel powder foundation but this is definitely in the same league and cheaper. If you want more coverage, put it over you liquid...it wasn't cakey and I piled it on...will update if this enthusiasm fades............. |

Hi babymax24, it is great to know that you like the doublewear foundation as much as I do. It keeps my makeup fresh for the whole day (+10 hrs) without melting. I think it is ideal for oily skin. |

This gets a 10/10 for me though i use the liquid one. It has great staying power esp for evening and coverage is excellent. Literally when you touch your face it wont budge and stays with the frsh colour all day into night. I also like that you can touch this up without looking cakey and drag queen. And has given me no spots over the years. If you like it try a sample of Individualist for day. I used it in summer and liked it.
Right now based on some suggestions on the forum i am experimenting with Laura Mercier. I agree that LM is more shiny (perhaps for drier skins) and takes more time to apply but it is worth trying. EL double wear is still my favorite though as its quick and effective. I bought my mom the Futurist for (cough) mature ladies and she loves it. They also do a good highlighter/concealor pen called Ideal Light. I use it in the corner of the eyes after concealor and it gives a nice lift plus it comes in different shades, unlike other pens that are one shade fits all. These days I have got some dark circles.
EL may not do good skincare products but the foundation is excellent i think. I tried the loose translucent powder though and a sample of their "spotlight" highlighting stuff and they were not worth the money. |
