I just ordered a bunch of samples of ReVive products. It is expensice stuff as everyone knows but hey if they're giving it away...why not? This serum or (liquid Gold-sure is as expensive as gold) is suppsed to be something else.
I wonder if anyone else wants to see how this works and compare. I just called a couple of Revive associates at different Nieman Marcus stores and they were very generous with the samples. If one store says they don't give one out, call another. That's what I did when I got turned down by one. (Which is rediculous. why would anyone blindly spend that so much money?) One place gave me 3 weeks worth! And they ship it to you. You don't have to go in.
So as soon as I get it, I will start giving feedback on it. Weekly or maybe Bi-weekly.
I'm just curious to wonder if they think that if they attach a high price to some product that everyone will think it must be better.
I'm not saying go out and get it. $600/oz is rediculous. But free samples? I'm game.
I had a lot of Botox put in my forehead for DEEP wrinkles. some creases are still left and I AM not having a brow lift. They told me it would take care of the creases that are left over. Their slogan tells you that this can take the place of surgery. Or at least prolong it. Well, surgery would be the only thing to help my forehead. But maybe not...
Anyway, I'll be the first Guinea Pig. I'll take before pics with no make up on.
Anyone else? |

I have used this skincare line but stopped because it was kinda a hassle to buy from eBay. But I really loved their stuff.
I have never tried what you ordered samples of........what is it called again?
Is this a new product? Or is this the 0.05 oz serum specifically formulated for seniors (85 years old and up)?
Thanks |

Intensite Volumizing serum. Sort of new.
Rediculously expensive but if you can get it from ebay and don't mind the hassle, it could be worth it. I'm already seeing improvement on my forehead. |

i'll be curious to see what you think, too.
I also got samples online ( tip from another forum.) The samples lasted quite a while, and my skin looked really nice. However, my skin looks really nice using some much less expensive products as well, so.........
For this amount of $$ i expected to see fantastic-close-to-miracle results. Can't say that I did. |

The Key ingredient is Keratinocyte Growth Factor
From BeautyBuzz.com
"(KGF) is the newest high tech molecule and it does wonders for the skin. It helps to increase facial volume/plumpness so that the skin doesn't droop or sag but remains rich in moisture and thickens the dermis and helps speed cell turnover by up to 8 times faster. It means new cells come up that are plumper, work better/faster and look better. KGF also prevents free radical damage and DNA fragmentation that causes cells to go haywire. All this and it acts QUICKLY too. (worth the $$$ since you really use this very sparingly.)
Dr. Brown calls this KGF "EGF on steroids" |

Here is the full list.
INGREDIENTS: Triethylhexanoin, PEG-15/Lauryl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Octyldodecyl Myristate, Hexyldecanol, C12-15 Alkyl, Benzoate, Isohexadecane, Tribehenin, Ceramide-2, PEG-10 Rapeseed Sterol, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Undecylenoyl Phenylalanine, Cyclomethicone, KGF (Keratinocyte Growth Factor)
This explains the what the other ingredients do as well.
"KGF’s dynamic activity allows for a molecular dialogue with underlying layers of skin that contributes to increased volume after several weeks. Whitening Tri-Complex depigments the skin eliminating blemishes and dark spots associated with aging. Powerful anti-radical defense system shields against pollution, stress and damaging UVB rays. Intensité Volumizing Serum is the optimal solution before considering or in preparation for a surgical procedure."
Look I'll never spend $600 on a product but if it works I will search for other ways, ebay, beauty trading posts, etc. I 'll find a way. |

Update:
I wanted to wait a full week before I updated. In the beginning I even thought that I should wait 2. But Ladies, I am seeing results already.
I actually had to take a double take this morning while going through my regimen.
I REALLY believed I would need a lower Bleph to take care of the wrinkles under my eyes. They were BAD. and my forehead had deep wrinkles. the Botox took care of some but not all.
This morning I can REALLY see an improvement under my eyes and my forehead and I am only on DAY 4! Now keep in mind I am also on an aggressive Obagi Program with the ReVive.
I feel the ReVive IS making the Retin A work even better and FASTER. I use the Volumizing serum which overturns cells 8 times faster. And I use the Eye Renewal Cream which has EGF in it so now it is turing over 16 TIMES FASTER.
I forgot to take a before pic but I'm sure I can dig up something that shows my wrinkles before.
Also I give credit to the Cellular Repair Cream ReVive has. that helps your Retin A treated skin heal 40% faster. Dr. Brown would actually prescribe this to patients after surgery or peels. It is ESPECIALLY recommended for Retin A users. (Dr. Brown is also a BIG cheeleader for Obagi NuDerm. I wrote more about Obagi in the other forum under Obagi System)
You can take anything you want from this. Believe me or not. I just know what I SEE in the mirror now... |

This sounds incredible. I am only in my early 20's but do have some premature aging due to smoking (I quit thank god) and some sun damage from being naive to the ramifications of unprotected sun exposure during my teens. I am tempted to try a sample of this, but am not sure if I should. Do you think I’m to young for something like this? Could it cause more harm than good? Or would it be a good head start in my life long quest for eternal youth |

I HAD "smoker's lines" above my mouth. The vertical lines. And since using it, they are fading fast. It never said to put it on your lips but I definitely needed volume there (lines) so I just started a couple of days ago and can see the difference there as well. Now I also use the Revive Lip and Perioral (area above the lip) lip renewal.
Remember, you can call any Nieman Marcus and have them send samples to try this.Ask for the ReVive "Specialist" Some are VERY generous. It doesn't even have to be in your area. THEY pay for postage as well. You lose NOTHING.
I cannot find a picture of myself around here. I always taking the pics not in them. I called my Derm's office and asked if they could give me the pics (or a copy)taken of me before my botox injections. I went to a second Derm (not good results of the first one) and they took pics as well. Those are good pics to show the lines under my eyes before this treatment.
They have to check with the Dr and get back. so as soon as I get something, I'll post it. |

I called Nieman Marcus today and spoke to a women who was happy to send me samples of thier products including the volumizer and lip stuff. I am very excited to try this! She said it would arrive in 3 to 5 buisness days. We shall see. I will keep everyone posted on my results. I still cant help but feel that I might be teasing myself. I mean $600.00!!!
No way will I pay that much, I might as well get surgery for that kind of cash. But also a part of me is wondering if thier really is that miracle cream out there. |

Remember there is always Ebay. I just bought the .20 size volumizing serum for $50. $120 value. Always check there. Some even sell the samples for just a few dollars. You can keep a supply of this line if you do a little searching. WELL worth the effort. |

The Skin Medica TNS recovery system has KGF, HGF and TGF and is much cheaper (still expensive but about a third the price). It is unclear what the active concentration is in each but they're likely comparable. Judging from colostrum pills and pills for medical conditions it is not enormously expensive to produce so they're making a whopping profit off of this. |

I bought it last Wednesday. I just happened to do a search and when the Revive Products came up, this particular serum was in it's last 2 minutes of the auction. THAT is how you win. I always bid in the last few seconds of an auction. And go over by AT LEAST $1. I have never lost an auction that way. So it was not this week, when did you bid?
Anyway, this person ships on Thurs (didn't get it out on Thurs for some reason) and Mon. They sent it on Mon and got it yesterday. Still very quick! If you do lose a bid, always make sure if they have a store, check it out. You can get in on the same product very soon. |

There are now companies that will put you're bids up at the last minute. This is going to make the end play harder for everybody else (I think they charge a % of the selling price). |
