These past few weeks I've been very busy and sleeping late. Now my skin is acting up and I've got tons of blackheads on my chin and nose, and my pores are huge! I'm breaking out a bit and my skin is very blotchy and red. Is there anything I can do to help calm my skin down? Here's what I've been using lately:
Morning:
-Rosa Y Fruta Orange blossom cleanser ( with neroli. I'm looking for a new cleanser! )
-Dr. H day oil/ RyF Camellia oil
Night:
- Rosa Y Fruta Dulce Fresca scrub
- Dr. H Clay Mask/ Rejuv Mask ( I read somewhere that we shouldn't use an oil/oil based moisturizer after the clay mask?)
-spot treating with Manuka EO
sometimes I use Decleor essential balm and Ylang Ylang balm but they don't seem to help my skin very much..
As for toner, I ran out of immortelle hydrosol so I'm not using any toner at the moment
[edit: I recieved my package today so I will be trying out my new PSF toner mist!]
Any suggestions? I'm in my late teens and i have sensitive skin =)
thanks!

Very sorry to hear this. I hate bad skin, it makes the morning routine too long
I am sure someone will know the right answers, but just general suggestions:
1. Go to a beautician to have an initial treatment.
2. Consider mud/clay masks
3. Check out mandelic acid (there is a discussion thread here)
4. Eat lots of vitamins! and make sure to drink sufficient water. |

I'd suggest skipping daily exfoliation, and using some sort of toner (you mentioned the PSF, so that's good). For your nose, I'd suggest Beyond Belief Clean Pore Nose Peel (you can get it at Sally Beauty Supply). It sounds like you need some sort of detox; I'm sure some ladies on here can suggest some good masks for that. |

I am new to this forum, but I just tried the oil cleasing method mentioned on another thread. I have to say, I was VERY pleased. I mixed cold pressed casor oil and cold pressed Extra virgin olive oil half and half. I massaged my face for about 10 minutes and a LOT of blackheads came out. I washed with a gentle cleanser afterwards and my pores looked a lot smaller and my face was very tight. A bit too tight actually. I think I will use a bit less castor oil tonight. I was very skeptical, but it worked! As for your redness and blotchiness, I too am plagued with this condition and havn't found anything that really helps. I have been using Obagi for about 4 weeks and it has helped to even out my skin tone. |
