I have been thinking about what is a more effective way to go with if I should choose, between 20 minute more sleep and 20 minute mask before bed. I usually go to bed at 11 pm. I did finish 21 consecutive day experiment last week. It means I slept at 11:45 pm during this period.
Now I should admit my face really love everyday treatment which is even very quick 15-20 minute mask. The most visible sign shows around the eye area (eyes look wide-open and bigger). I also can see the improvement on the chin, lifting-wise. Smaller pores and less/clearer(?) blackheads is a big plus too.
The products I used are Valmont Renewling, Dr. H Rejuvenating, Thalgo O2 Marine and Nelly de vuyst Lifecell / Elastic mask. (My esthetician recommended Thalgo and Nelly to me.) As for me, Valmont Renewling work best which is expensive and gone too fast. I don't see anything happen with Dr. H Rejuvenating which I will not re-purchase.
So only from the skin improvement perspective, I can definitely recommend every day mask, if you don't mind it will make you a little more tired every night.

Usually I'm too tired to even think about a mask when I go to bed. I do my whole regime basically right before I climb in. SOmetimes that seems like too much! I usually do masks on weekends and days off. Sort of like a little treat, or luxury. |

I tend to do all my masks right before bed... I just try to remember that I want to do one a half hour before I normally start my nightly routine so I'm still in bed at the same time. If I forget, I just don't do it that night! |

I usually do my masks 1 hour before my bed time. and sometimes I would fall asleep with my mask on, which is never good, at least for me. |

Violetanne, Chevycamarolvr, and hopemelody, what masks have you find most effective for blackhead and t-zone (oily area)? I continue to research to find out nothing work as great as I had expected....jeannie |

I've been using a clay based mask and the aspirin mask.... I've also been using a BHA lotion twice a day... Between those three I've really seen a reduction in number of blackheads I have (they're mainly on my nose). It's not 100% yet, but it's definitely improving.
I've also been using the DIY Ylang Ylang oil (recipe is in the DIY thread) each night on my oily forehead. I no longer have to blot throughout the day.... Maybe just once 12hrs or so after my morning routine. Before that I was blotting almost every two hours. |
