I thought I should type up a review on this because I mainly use it as a body lotion. This first got my attention when my girlfriend told me that her grandmother had very dry skin and asked her doctor what she should do. Dr. advice was to use Moistuel and she has been using it for years and her skin looks good.
I had a prescription that was mixed in with Moistural lotion. Drug stores use this brand on regular basis to mix with medication.
Here are the ingredients...
Medical ingredients:
dimethicone 3% w/w
petrolatum 6% w/w
Non-medical ingredients:
benzyl alcohol
carbomer 934
cetyl alcohol
glycerin
laureth-23 magnesium aluminium silicate
potassium sorbate
sodium hydroxide
steareth-2
water
This product is made in Quebec and is sold in drug stores. I find WalMart sell it for the best price.
I like it as an overall body moisterizer. It states that you can also use it on your face and that it is non-comedogenic and does not have lanolin, parabens or fragrance. There is a scent to this lotion but I think it is the scent of some of the ingredients. This is not luxury product but it works.
Has anyone tried this lotion? |

I also had a prescription years ago mixed in a base of Moistural cream. Great basic moisturizer. I see it on the bottom shelf of SDM. |

My derm recommended this to me as a moisturizer when my eczema was at its worst. I have to agree that it's a good basic, no-frills body lotion. |

I wish there is something I could add to the bottle that has a firming ingredient. Does anyone know where & what I could buy to make the lotion firm my skin? |
