Hi, I am looking into Cellular Skin Rx and what I don't understand is why is it ok to apply Cellular Skin Rx SuperMax Multi-Peptide Skin Solution Serum after a Vit. C serum when in other web sites, it is stated that you do not apply anything that has peptide and Vit. C together at the same time?
Does anyone know? |

I thought it was only copper peptides and Vit C that shouldn't be used at the same time. Hope others will post and have more info. |

I would e-mail cellular skin directly with your question. I have often e-mailed and gotten resp. the same or next day. I'm also interested in this serum and I'm a bit concerned about applying it all over as the directions state. If this is to smooth lines, then I would think it should be applied on the
forehead, lips and not all over your face Anyway, I got waylaid by the DMAE thread & haven't looked into it further.
BTW, I use the eye serum and like that very much. |

I think it's only copper peptide that you need to avoid at the same time as vit. c |

Which eye serum? The Eye Bright or the Peptite Eye firming one? |

The peptide one-eye bright is pretty good for dark circles-I usually use eye bright under the peptide-when I remember. |

It is the copper peptides that can't be used with C serum. I use the Supermax and it does not list copper peptides in the ingredient list. I like that Firming Peptide Eye cream, too, Marina. It is really good stuff! |

How is copper peptide different from the Firming Peptide eye cream? |

There are many different peptides used in skincare. Copper peptides were discovered as a good thing for skin when it was noticed that wounds healed more quickly when copper peptides were present.
The current crop of peptides include acetyl hexapeptide, oligopeptides, palmitoyl pentapeptides, etc. These are wrinkle relaxers and skin firmers. They are 'engineered' to get your skin to respond a certain way. Acetyl hexapeptide helps to relax muscles that cause lines by interfering with nerve signals as they travel to those muscles. Matrixyl (palmitoyl pentapeptide)makes the skin think it has not made enough collagen so your skin makes more and looks firmer....
There are so many now, I cannot keep up with them. It is not the peptide in the "copper peptide" that interferes with vitamin C (l-ascorbic acid). It is the copper in it. |

Just curious, which websites say not to apply anything that has a peptide and Vitamin C together? |

I thought I just saw it in the AlphaDerma web-site and I specifically remember reading it in the new Allure book that is being sold in the book store. |

It's the copper and any other trace metals that interact with the C. It's NOT the peptide. |

Can you explain to me if some of the ingredients can cancel each other out? Their is the firming ingredient and the freeze your facial expression (like botox) and the two ingredient cancel each other out?
I don't want a copy of Botox. They simply don't work and has been proven by doctors. Only the real thing works. I just want to firm my skin and build or maintain elastin before it is too late. |

can you use the supermax around and under the eyes? i already have an eye cream that i really like for hydration (best bath store's intensive undereye treatment - organic, no silicones, etc.), but i would like to vamp up the anti-wrinkle/fine-lines aspect, so i figured i could use the serum underneath, and then the cream on top . . . thanks! |
