I'm a 55 yearold women and have good skin but
can't seem to get rid of the enlarged pores?
Any suggestions on an instant fix like a certain product under makeup or maybe a chemical peel etc.

A quick fix would be a good primer under your makeup. I prefer peter thomas roth mattifying primer.
A different fix would be to clean them out very well so they don't look so large, and exfoliate. I don't know about a chemical peel. I think I read once in a beauty magazine that it didn't help them, but I have never had one done and I could be wrong.
I have the same problem, and I think my pores look MUCH better after using mandelic acid , copper peptide and emu oil with ha. I also think it helps I am not putting fifty things on my face like I used to. (Well, not fifty, but you get the general idea, it was alot)
I have also used a lactic acid peel a couple of times, only 10 percent, and I really like that for pores. In any case, good luck and hopefully someone can help you out.

Like Razinkane suggests - I'd go for exfol serum (salicylic acid) to cleanse the pores and Mandelic acid to close them. Works instantly for me though mine aren't so large in the first place, but visibly tightened.

I 100% agree with Molly, that seems like the best course of action.

For Exfol serum-(use the cream version if you have dry skin):

For Mandelic Acid:

You may want to add a bit of Emu oil and HA to help soothe and hydrate the new skin.

I has a green peel from my skin specialist. Eight hours with the stuff on face, then 4 days of looking red and peeling.

I went from despairing about my gaping pores, to six months of pore - free skin, more or less. When the pores began to return, I use an aspirin and yoghurt mask once a week, and Rare minerals at night. And oil cleansers. This keeps them under control, but my forehead is quite large pored. They're clean, fortunately, but large.
So the peel did a lot of good, but for £400, I'm not quite sure if it was the best way of dealing with the problem.
Having got my pores to a relatively good state, I'd like to keep them that way.
The aspirin/yog face mask work
s well, because it's low dose salycic acid/lactic acid.
But I guess it's going to be an ongoing job.. I'm interested in the mandelic acid, too.
btw the other thing that helps is the clarisonic facial brush.
