Admittedly, I bought both the shampoo & conditioner two weeks ago, because they were on-sale, and I liked the fragrance. I debated between the Lavender duo & the Glistening. The fragrant Ylang-Ylang oil in the Glistening won me over, as it's intoxicating!
Well, the fragrance is the only aspect of the duo that I'm enjoying. No bells or whistles. I knew that the shampoo wouldn't lather like others, though it does what it's supposed to do: cleanse my scalp.
Despite leaving the conditioner on for about five minutes, my hair remains tangled & knotted after rinsing it out. Disappointed I have fine textured, silky hair. There's a LOT of it, and it's particularly thick at the back, where it's naturally curly (pin-straight on top). It's a pain to have to work through the knots in my hair, post shower!
As I the fragrance so much, I will likely repurchase the products, but only for that reason.

I tried Avalon Organics shampoo and conditioner in the past, but not this fragrance. It also tangled up my hair quite good. I had to return them to the store. |

After using half of each bottle, I've decided that I do not like Avalon's shampoo or conditioner!
* my hair doesn't feel clean after washing it.
* the conditioner doesn't detangle or really soften my hair. Too many tangles to try to pull-out with a comb, defeating the purpose of "gentle ingredients", if my hair's subject to the abuse of detangling!
I like the smell of the Ylang Ylang, but have chosen to use the shampoo as a body wash, and the conditioner to shave my legs. |

I tried their shampoo/conditioner for fine/flat hair -- nothing good, wasted money. |

Although I used to work at a health food store and we sold A TON of this line, couldnt keep it in stock.
Maybe it is good for very thick hair ??? |

I rather liked this duo. The scent could have been better... I usually like ylang-ylang, but, this one was very cold and metallic. However, it did quite a decent job and left my processed hair relatively smooth and shiny. |
