I want to get my kids started with the right products. Looking for good baby shampoo, body wash, diaper rash creme, etc.
I prefer organic or all natural products. Please share your experience.
Thanks |

This is a great thread since so many baby lines use mineral oil or SLS (sodium lauryl sulphate) for sudsing.
With 3 kids, Burt's Bees Diaper Rash Cream w/ lavendar oil is a winner. It's a bit goopy but the lavendar oil will clear up the rash overnight. I used to make my own butt goop w/ lav oil before it came in a tube.
Arbonne also has some great natural products. Pediatricians recommend the baby oil and baby wash to clear up baby eczema. (Like me,seems just about everyone I meet has a kid with this.) |

Unfortunately dairy seems to lead to eczema...getting mine off that stuff cleared it up and colds were minimal too... |

I use pure vegetable oils on my daughter (age 2). Now with winter having arrived, I use rosehip seed oil on her face (good barrier to the cold, it seems). I usually wash her hair with either pure castile soap or rhassoul (boy, does she love that!) but I generally donīt overwash her hair. When she was in diapers I used oil if she got a rash, which happened about twice. |

I don't have any babies yet, but when I do I plan to use Burt's Bees Baby Bee Products. They smell wonderful, and the all-natural ingredients are great, plus they are pretty affordable. |

Thanks for the great responses. I like Weleda and think you get a lot of bang for your buck. Will probably try Dr. Hauschka as well. |

Hi,
I know rosehip oil is often recommended for mature skin due to its effect on wrinkles etc. So it is also safe on baby skin? Thanks! |

I just started using it when she got a scatch under her eye. It helped (I guess) in making the scar fade, so I simply stared using it on her cheeks when it got colder. I really am not sure if itīs considered safe or not, btu I do know itīs used for the delicate eye area, so Iīm hoping Iīm in the clear. I wouldnīt use in on babies though (my dd is 2,5), I use other oils on her body and when she was younger. Hope that helps. |

Rosehip or any edible oil would be perfect for a baby's skin I wish more parents would be so considerate about their children's products |

Hehe I will pass along my primerva rosehip oil to my sister. She had success with aquaphor but it was just very slimy. |

I just took the plunge and bought some of the Gaia Baby products because they were on sale. I'll post feedback after I've used them for a few weeks. |
