I heard on breakfast TV this morning that Britney has filed for divorce from Kevin. Can't say I'm suprised, but (without meaning to sound awful) I am quite pleased. I think it was quite obvious that he kind of dragged her down and they weren't truly happy. It's sad as there are 2 children involved (4 for Kevin!) and she's now got 2 failed marriages at 24 years old. Anyway, hopefully it'll be relatively amicable. Saw a clip of her on an american chatshow and she looked GREAT! Is anyone else shocked by the news?

too good to be true?

From blogger at dlisted.com

"Out of the many emails I got about Britney’s divorce to KFed, this one was very interesting. It comes from someone that claims they are close to the Britney camp. I’m going to take it at face value, but what they say makes complete sense:"

MK – Don’t believe the Britney divorce. I’m sort of in with her circle of friends and I know for a fact she’s not going to leave him. She’s just doing this to scare him and gain some sympathy votes from the media. She went on Letterman, cause Kevin thought she was at the hotel crying over him. She is using the divorce to scare him. They are already talking to each other and texting all the time on their mobiles. She always threatened divorce on him and he never believed her. She’s hoping he will change his ways. I think she also knows that this can change her image and is using it. They will get back together. I wouldn’t be surprised if they are already back together.

OK, call me cynical, but my first thought was "Good for her" followed by thought 1A: this is probably just a bunch of hooey - her way of scaring him. They will probably not divorce, at least not now. He's going to throw himself on her mercy and beg her to withdraw the petition, so don't be surprised if they are back together in no time. She might be doing this to get his attention, but it won't last long. A leopard does not change his spots, and I think KFed is the stupidest piece of crap on the planet - it is so obvious he is using her for her money and connections. He would probably gut her bank account in a divorce anyhow, because I thought there was no prenup?

Oh no Mommy Spears made sure that there would be an ironclad prenup. I thought I did hear back then that she did not want to but her mom forced her to.

I hope they don't break up. I like Britney as a married Mom. I hope K isn't the user he has seemed to be at times.

Looks like the divorce is for real.
http://thesuperficial.com/image.php?path=/2006/11/07/spears-divorce-01.jpg

Laura Wasser is the high-profile divorce lawyer who was hired by Angelina Jolie when she was divorcing Billy Bob. I say it's about time she left K-fed. He doesn't seem to care about his kids, partying all the time while Brit stays home with them.

She can file and go through all that and not go through with it. We all knew the papers were real, but the question is are her intentions genuine?

This divorce is getting nasty. Kevin has filed for sole custody of the kids and he wants spousal support (surprise surprise). He is such a loser.

I heard on the radio this morning that (not quite sure since I flipped to the station in the middle) Kevin had a performance in Chicago I want to say, they say that they gave the tickets away and were only charging the convenience charge for the tickets....sad.

Yuck...I don't like either of them. I find them both unattractive (please don't hate me!) and I don't think she can sing. Or, rather, she sounds just like every other pop female singer these days. Rolling Eyes

I don't know if there's a need for that, sorry to say but if anyone thinks that she actually is vocally talented I'd ask them to get their ears checked immediately (covers for the stoning Laughing ) As far as physical appeal, what appeal do either of them bring to the table? Okay, that was a little mean, sorry (still recovering from being sick so am in the b*tch mode LOL)

LMAO...welcome to our corner. Oh she can sing, as long as they use a voice synthasizer (spelling) to hide her lack of voice!!!!!!!

I'm in your corner, too! It's called:

Just because your famous white trash, it doesn't mean you're talented.

Hiding behind the shelter! Image

This is how bad Kfed is. Tried selling his House of Blues concert in Chicago-no real sales so they had to give the tickets away.

Those who did go just wanted to laugh at him.

Here is the review of concert goers:

From the Associated Press:

*peeks out from shelter and sees no stones* Whew!!

Yeah -- white trash, as scalawaggirl said. I've just never really been into her type of music/image. Far too cookie-cutter and boring for my taste.

And K-Fed -- OK, I don't think I have EVER heard a song of his. Can someone give me an example? I didn't even know he was a...musician, until just now.

This shows you how "up" on celebs I am... Rolling Eyes

I'm not a fan of Kevin (think he is a loser that you need to run from) but it pains me to think of people going to his concert for the joy of mocking him. How painful to live through that. Of course, some egos are absolutely huge and it takes something of that magnitude to get through to the individual...

I agree, Ellyp. It's one of those moments you just cringe. I'm not mean so would never do that; it's simply too cruel; however, he is the biggest sort of idiot so deserves to go away.

Like he REALLY has a chance to get full custody. Please.

Okay, I didn't want to throw out 'white trash' because I thought that might have been crossing the line, but hell since someone else threw it out Laughing

Wendy, that's what I also posted on the celebrity gossip thread. I heard on the radio, halfway into a conversation that when Kevin was performing here in Chicago they only charged the convenience charge for the tickets because they weren't selling. I didn't know it was at the House of Blues, that's such a small venue too, not hard for artists to easily sell out in a matter of min...i.e. Justin Timberlake (my guilty pleasure Laughing )
