I want to give gift cards for many of my gifts this season. If I can buy them online with no shipping fee to me, that would be ideal. Please help me with your suggestions! I live in north TX, if that helps any. I'm giving them to people who like to shop locally at real stores (no online shoppers) -- what a concept! |

I can't help you with buying them online, but...
Here the grocery stores {I would think most everywhere would have it too} carry gift cards for all the big stores, plus MC and VISA...
Hope that might help... |

Watch if you buy the Mastercard, Visa, American Express gift cards. Some of the companies charge to activate the card. Sometimes as much as $7.
Does EDS carry gift cards? |

I love getting a Starbucks card or Barnes and Noble who has Starbucks inside. The coffee is so yummy and it feels nice to have a card in your wallet makes that $5.00 cup of coffee guilt free! |

I noticed that most, if not all,of the VISA giftcards have activation charges. I really think this is an ideal gift, in the way of giftcards. But the activation fee is a deal-breaker for me. Same as the companies that charge shipping/handling for buying gift cards online. |

The activation charge isn't something I like either, but, where I get them, it's only $3.00.. If I had to go and pay the PO to ship something, it'd be at least that much anyway, so I figure it evens out...
If I can get the gift cards at the name brand store, I will, but for people like my paretns and aunt and the like, a M/C or Visa is the best way to go.. We don't really buy gifts for them, because if they don't have it, they don't want it.. This way they can use it for what they want, no matter the store..
But yes, I do agree, the fee stinks, but so does so much anymore...LOL |
