I WISH I could find my favourite among the relatively cheap products, but I'm not so lucky.
After having given a talk, I rewarded myself with a treat, and I bought my favourite moisturizer, which is the Shiseido Bio-performance Advanced Super Revitalizer N. It's absolutely divine, but a tad too expensive for everyday use. But I buy it whenever I need a treat
The cream has HA in it (but I'm not sure about the levels, normally the claims of cosmetic companies make me suspicious), and although it is aimed at dry skintypes, it sinks right into the skin and leaves a matte surface. The texture is more of a cream-gel, but not sticky as they tend to be, and it's supposed to be used AM and PM. And the best: the smell is also decent-powdery, not heavily perfumed (which I don't like).
I definitely recommend it to all the dry-skinned gals out there! |

i just got a sample of their super restoring cream and I love it. I thought the sales associate was nuts when she gave me a sample, but sure enough, I am trying to hold off until I finish the sample until I buy the full sized jar! |

im still searching for a favorite one... everything balls up. and any anti aging product just rubs right off... i guess my wrinkles are here to stay.im not BANK ONE and i keep buying all the creams and serums hoping to find the one that works for me. nothing is soaking into skin.and im not layering either. heavy night creams ball right off.i cant even seem to use a toner. after cleansing and then a toner, i use a moisterizer and it balls off. the toner just stays sticky.. any cheap idea's ? whats that nothing is cheap anymore !!!! lololol

no specific suggestion for you right now, but always get a sample before you buy. I refuse to buy anything without a sample first. Sometimes this means buying samples off of ebay or making a trip to a salon...don't let them talk you into making a purchase, even if they say you can bring it back if you don't like it. Make them give you a sample first. |

Lassie,
what type of skin do you have? maybe we can give you some suggestions. I'll agree with abejita, never buy the full sized without trying a sample first. |

Yes, always try to get samples for free first, then if you can't, you can almost always get low cost samples on ebay. This is so much better than putting out tons of money on full sized products without having tried them. Don't let sales associates tell you they don't have samples, they always do. I have turned and walked away when they told me that and they have miraculously found samples for me. |

well i tend to be on the dry side. like i said before, after trying renova nothing has been the same..im stripped of any oils or moister on my face.. i do have broken caps and some reddness which some say is rosacea .. but i dont have any bumpy things or anything.. red cheeks..i use BE for the coverage. and i do get suckered in with those ladies.. now im getting samples from ebay. im using ABSOULE by lancome right now. for day and night.it does seem to be ok.. i do tend to over due when it comes to putting on any creams..and i do have a couple of anti aging products from lancome. when i use them now , i use just a little bit and it seems ok. but it just feels like i didnt put enough on...see thats a problem of mine.. its never enough..im not happy unless i can feel something soft on my face. so im trying to slow things down now.. also, i quit smoking....and im sure that might have something to do with it.dont get me wrong.i know all about smoking and your skin . i can count the couple of lines and wrikles i have.thats not my problem..im looking for the texture now. i want my soft skin back.

Maybe your problem isn't the moisturizer, but what you are putting underneath it? maybe you are not letting your product sink in before you apply your moisturizer. |

hi, i thought the same thing.. i have been going alittle slower and it has been better. but it seems any anit aging creams will ball up.if i just use a plain moisterizer its fine. but the anti aging products just dont seem to work.. unless i just use that.maybe i was meant to have and KEEP wrinkles !!! lol

Could it be that you are putting on too much? It is a bit strang that all of the ones that you have tried have done the same things. |

i have had this problem on and off for awhile.i will use just one product , then incorperate another and things will be fine. then and anit aging something and it balls. then sometimes it can be just the moisterizer.im probably using too much . im doing things a little slower and it seems to help somewhat. but sometimes i do get board and over due things.i like my face to feel soft before bed, and i try differnt products. i have a hard time sticking to a routine for a period of time.i keep getting samples of things and there it goes...i mess up the whole thing up. i waste more money and more products than anyone i know. just to end up wiping it all off. even my toner balls up. like tonight, i cleansed, use a glycolic wipe.hour later, lancome anit aging product.then lancome's absloue night cream and eye cream. NO PROBLEMS. and if i stay up much longer ill try something else. so go figure. im a gluttin for punishment.

I tried the Super Advanced Revitalizer N and was not at all impressed. I found it to be too fragrant, expensive and the texture was too silicone-y,- to me, it felt like a cheap, synthetic formula. I did not notice a difference when I used it. It is also very similar to YSL's (much more expensive) Temps Majeur, so if you are curious about that product, save yourself about $100 and try Shiseido's first.
I much preferred their older formula Revitalizing Cream, but I too think it is overpriced.
Oh, the dilemna..................... |

What about recommendations for a moisturisor with heavy spf sun protection? I cant live without my moisturisor, but now im really needing to incorporate a very high SPF sunscreen as well, and dont want to be doubling up. Any great product reviews for this? |

Nemi- have you tried Kinerase? It is a bit expensive but is a gentle moisturizing skin rejuvenator which is good for more sensitive skin types and it absorbs nicely into the skin, leaving it soft without any odor at all. You only need to use a pea size amount right after your face is warm and moist from cleansing so it lasts quite awhile.
You could also try a DMAE cream, (firming properties), which is a rich moisturizer that also absorbs well so you don't have that heavy residue feeling on your skin afterwards. I use the Reviva Alpha Lipoic Acid, Vitamin C Ester and DMAE cream which is under $15 and you can get it a the Vitamin Shoppe which has "land" stores too. |

Lassie,
Thanks! It is a obviously a passion of mine- discovering all the facts I can about rejuvenation. I had been wasting so much money on those "face-lifts" in a jar and thought others would find the information as helpful as I had when I started researching anti-againg skin care years ago and learned that many of the products I had accumulated weren't even proven to be effective. |

hi, wow it's been awhile since i have been here. i finally found something that is working for me PHILOSIPHY !!! i have stuck with it. it doesnt make my face flare up. even when i use the micro pads and micro peel .. i only use it at night. and still using my estee lauder during the day.. im sure my skin is saying MAKE UP YOUR MIND WOMAN but it seems to work for me. i have been using wei east lotus neck cream at night and Diane Young's neck cream at day. for the eye,wei east eye and lip. and PHILOSIPHY eye and lip. i i think the wei east is working better for the line under my eye.
