Anyone tried this? I am super pale and like to enhance that with cool coloured makeup, but a lot of pale powders look chalky. (I like Mythic the regular pearls - this looked nice for evenings though!).
Are they really sparkly?
(Mind you not seent hem for sake in the UK so may be a purely acemdemic question!LOL)
Thanks |

Sorry, can't help you with that, Lucia.
But I have tried a lovely BareFaced Minerals finishing/illunimating powder that you might like.
It's called Jo's Secret Finishing Powder and is a very pale pink in colour. The effect it gives is a subtle, perking up and brightening of your complexion. I really liked it.
Here are the details: http://barefacedminerals.org/catalog/customer/product.php?productid=16364&cat=261&page=1
And I tried a Givenchy Prism recently (not pearly, but a shallow pyramid of 4 different colours). It gave a really nice effect and definitely wasn't glittery. |

I don't find any of the Meteorites variaties too sparkly, I think they just add a light colour & a very delicate shimmer. If you have fair skin then I think the "Pink Fresh" Meteorites would be the best one for you. |

I love all of the Meteorite products I've tried. I have several containers at work and home. I find them subtle and not "sparkly" as Safire said just a bit of shimmer. I also have very pale skin in the winter but I do tan (light skin/blue grey eyes and dark hair). |

Blimey, Lucia, you must be even paler than me!
It's so difficult to find something that works well when you look like a ghost, isn't it? I really wish I had nice olive skin. |

Thanks ladies!!
Majorb - I am SO pale!!!LOL I use Aromaleigh in 00 (alabaster)they are the only MMU that is pale enough for me! I have actually tried the pink fresh as safire suggested - unfortunately it made me look like I had sunburn LOL!! I have tried mixing the Jos Secret with some Silk Dust that worked a bit better!
It is hard to find makeup that doesn't look harsh when you are ghost like isn't it??? |

Is there any place we can buy it except ebay? Can't find it anywhere else....
The Givenchy one is good though. I have both prisme (4-color, cool beige) and prismissime (9-color, pastel bloom). They are not sparkling but they do add a nice glow. |

I went to Dillards all ready to buy the meteorites several months ago. The guy and gal behind the counter kept oohing and aahing how it looks, and put some on my hand, and jawline. I kept trying to see something, but couldn't. And I kept hesitating to say anything except , "Hmm." Well, the guy walked away, and the gal then proceeded to tell me the best thing she'd ever found for the subtle glow, was a finely milled powder by Clinique! Called Glow. In 4 or 5 levels of shade intensity. She walked me over to Clinique, (she did not work the Clinique counter) and put some on me and told me she knows Clinique is not high end, but she just loves that stuff. I was convinced, bought it, and have never been happier. I just lightly brush it over my finished makeup routine. Gives the flawless finish. $20, I think. No sparkle, no glitter. Just glow. |

StrawberryNet has a limited selection available most of the time & their prices are generally a lot more reasonable than instore. |

Glad to hear that, I will go and check it out when Clinique has GWP. Thanks, cedar. |

Thanks, Safire. I've checked Strawberrynet but they don't have the 2006 version... Maybe I should just wait for the 2006 winter version. |

Thanks everyone - I looked online and the Givenchy do a shade of the Prisme in ' White Chic' - going to check it out - I've only seen the white pearls on Ebay and they are £40 + p&p the Givenchy is half that!
Hmm - Clinique makeup doesn't get on with me - don't know why - my sister loves it! |

I don't use anything else from Clinique. But this stuff is excellent. I told a friend about it; she only uses very high end stuff, but she tried it and loved it. She bought one for herself and one for her Mom. So, you just never know. I hope you find exactly what you're looking for. |

Cedar: Did you use the lightest shade of the Clinique? |

It says "Glow #3 Neutral." I am NC25-30 in mac, and wear Estee Lauder Futurist foundation in shade Blonde. The main thing with the Glow product, is use far far less than you'd ever think you'll need. My jar will last me forever; I can't see ever needing to buy it again, and I use it almost every day. |

Well I have bought the Givenchy Prisme Again in 'Chic White'! I just HAD to have it - the SA tried the Pastel on me then the White - the white was just perfect - I was so impressed I even let her try a Prisme blush on me (I don't normally wear blush - only when I going out) in 'Loving Pink' and a Lippy in 'Pink Nude' - I was SO happy with the result - very natural and pretty. Made me look like 'me' but better, and still looked good outside and when I got home - so many times I have seen something that looke dnice in the shop but was awful in 'real ' life. The SA was so nice and not like 'some' can be ie - a bit snooty and pushy!!LOL! I don't normally let them near me with any makeup but she was so appraochable and listened to me that I let her put on the three products. I told her honestly that it was the first time I'd been made up at a counter and not been scared with the results! LOL! Anyway I ended up buying the powder, blush and lippy!

neroliwater - Its sooo nice! Actually the blush looked a little too pink in the compact but when on my skin (even my pale/white skin!) it is just perfect - a lovely subtle enhancement. I wouldn't have picked it up for myself - so when the SA asked if she could try it on me I had visions of pink 1980's cheeks! It was a relief when I looked int he mirror and saw it just looked pretty!! |

I caved and bought a set of three (mini sizes) - this includes the mythic, beige chic and the pink as well (and a brush). I had a full size of the mythic before but I kind off fell off the bandwagon with them. At the beginning I loved them and then I couldn't quite see if they were doing anything. Still, somehow the beautiful little balls of powder are addictive I have tried the three different powders on my face last night and I think my fave is the beige chic out of all three. I can see the pink one being used as blush only as it's too pink to go over my whole face.
Sorry, I don't have anything to say about the white ones - I haven't tried them. |

Lucia - I'm so glad you loved the Givenchy stuff. I'd never ever tried any of their makeup previously, but absolutely loved the Prism. Thinking of buying it, and possibly some of their Subli'Mine Foundation for the summer, as it's so light and fresh-looking. |

To anyone who's used this: does it control oil? I wonder if there are additional benefits other than brightening the complexion. |
