Hi All,

The nearest salon to me that carries Jane Iredale is actually too far so I was wondering if any of you (perhaps Magda!) can help me.

I use a 2.3 medium beige in Bare Escentuals. The color is pretty close but I think it could be more yellow-based (of course this is just me being picky). I'm wondering what's the closest color I could get to 2.3 BE in Jane Iredale as I'm looking to try Jane Iredale.

Also, what is the difference between the two, really? Can I use the Bare Escentuals buffing brush with Jane Iredale as well? If they're the same, I probably shouldn't switch, but I'm just intrigued at the brand. Is it less oily, better for the skin, etc?

Thanks everyone!

we probably have skin that's very similar in color. my skin is slightly more yellow than BE 2.3. i have the jane iredale minerals in amber & it's a perfect match. golden glow is a bit too dark. the coverage & texture of both brands seem nearly identical. i only use it as a concealer though. i've never tried it all over as a foundation.

Hi Cyndy!

Thanks so much for your help! I'm actually deciding between the Amber and the Warm Sienna. The Warm Sienna is one notch down from the Golden Glow so that might be just right. I suppose it's "sample" requesting time ha ha ha. Awesome -- wow, I'd love to compare skin tones. My skin tone is always difficult to match!

Thanks SO much for your help! This really helps my decision process since I don't have a spa around here that carries Jane Iredale!

oops, i was thinking that golden glow was between amber & warm sienna, while it's the other way around. i have tried the warm sienna & thought that it was also a bit dark for me. samples are definitely the way to go.

i've just ordered the pressed version of amber. i've read that it's more matte than the loose minerals, which can be a little glowy.
