I just received this today and when I got home, I had to give it a try.
I mixed it with Cetaphil gentle cleanser and applied it on my face. The grains look like brown sand and felt extremely soft. In fact, too soft. As I rubbed it on my face, it got creamier and I could barely feel the scrub.
The packaging is wonderful. I really love the idea that you can twist the top and shake out the grains.
Right now, I don't think I would repuchase because it does not scrub enough. If you have extremely sensitive skin, you can use this but then, what is the point? The grains just get soft and turn into a cream.
I will continue to use this and if I change my mind, I will come back to update my review. |

i found the same thing when i bought them. probably would work if you used it each time you washed. i also found that it would gum up on my hands when using a cream cleanser |

I was really intrested in the line and I thought this would be a harmless purchase. It still is but it does not do much. |

well, that is because they are ground adzuki beans - they absorb the moisture as you scrub. you would do better buying a bag of ground rice (rice flour) and putting a spoon of that with your cleanser. |

i bought this as a gift for a friend after her DHC scrub ran out and she really liked it. i tried it once when i was over her place and i have to say i loved the way my skin felt. i love the concept of adding the grains to your regular cleanser. i felt like it did a nice job exfoliating. i am afraid of manual exfoliators with bigger grains because i hear it can tear pores. sorry this didn't work for the others here though. |

Considering I would never go near dept. store skincare, this is a stretch for me but Bobbi Brown makes wonderful grains to add to your cleanser. Actally comes in a shaker bottle. I got a sample and was pleasantly surprised. I also like the the fact that you could control the intensity of scrubbing depending on how much you use. I always forget to buy it, but it makes sense if you like to use the same cleanser but want to punch it up a bit in the morning.
I think Caudalie make some too-anyone tried theirs? |

Just a follow-up...
I am not happy with the product itself overall. I even used it as a body scrub and found that the particles stuck to the side of my shower and at the bottom. It was not fun cleaning it out afterwards.
I really love the packaging. The idea that it is a salt shaker is so neat! |
