Hi ladies! I just got my hands on a vial of pure camellia oil. I've never even heard of this stuff---has anyone used it before? What do you use it for? Do you feel like it causes any irritation, break outs, etc? TIA!! |

From what I've heard you apply that oil after a good microdermabrasion or a good face scrub/peel. Its supposedly silkening. I'm not completely sure though. Please let us know how you like it and what you use it for, one of my favorite sellers on ebay has it and I've been eyeing it. |

I bought it after reading about on goldportbeauty.com It has a really good write up about it. I have only used it 2 weeks but it does provide good moisture and seems to be good at calming down redness. So far I love it |

I have some camellia oil that I have never used. I just got a glycolic acid peel at my dermatologists and am going to apply the camellia oil tonight and for a few nights. I will let you know what I think of it. |

I got a sample of this stuff along with the Epidermix scrub..
I didn't have the best reaction to this oil, even though I had oily skin and thought it would help balance sebum production.. I am not sure if it also had to do with the Epidermix scrub ingredients.
When I used it at night it would leave my face incredibly greasy in the mornings.. I had better results from using regular jojoba oil.
It is a very night oil and is easily absorbed, but you can find a wide range of prices for this product.. regular cold-pressed camelia oil without the cosmetic label can be used as well. |

I use camellia oil. I got it from goldportbeauty but didn't but the epiderm thingy. I used it on my face, made me greasy, okay for night time use but still greasy come morning. Its a great moisturizer for my chest area so thats where I use it every night. |

As a post peel treatment the camellia oil gets an A. I applied this last night after my peel and it did not cause any irritation at all. I applied a decent amount of the oil and after a few hours it had absorbed into my skin. Granted my skin was dry from the peel and I don't know if it would absorb as well on non-peel days. This morning my skin felt pretty soft considering that I just had a peel yesterday!!
I think that this might become my regular after peel treatment. |

At night I put Silkia camellia oil over Cauderlie Vinoperfect Radiance serum. My skin looks translucent and luminous the next morning. This is a winning combo for me! By itself the Cauderlie doesn't give me enough hydration, but with the oil it works out perfect. |

Got mine from goldportbeauty. I use it after epidermix. Basically it only moisturises my skin and face can be rather oily when I wake up in the morning. Sometimes I worry that it may clog up pores but so far so good. |

I really love this product. I have dry skin, so I use it everynight after my regular routine. Its a great moisturizer for my dry skin, and it goes along well with whatever products I am using at the time. |

Also great for hair! I have Goldportbeauty as well.
But nothing beats Emu oil. Use that on top of whatever ingredients you love and it can drive them 7 layers into the skin. TONS of studies on it. It absorbs very quickly and does not clog pores. A little goes a long way though. I am really surprised I don't hear about this more often on here. It is also a natural anti-inflamatory so it is very soothing.
I use it every night on top of my Copper Peptides. |

I've heard that emu oil has great benefits but as a veggie hippy type person I haven't tried it. Read lots of reports on the benefits but for me personally the Camellia Oil is a good alternative. |

Well I've read the studies on Emu oil and the reason they say it can go deep into the skin is because it's very high in Oleic Acid. But all the emu oil sites say its Oleic acid content is in the 50% range, and all the camellia oil sites say the camellia oil's Oleic acid content is in the 80% range - much higher than emu oil. So apparently if emu oil can drive ingredients 7 layers into the skin, camellia oil can too and maybe even more. |

I went ahead and took the plunge and have been using this stuff on my face and lips at night and I LOVE it!!! Wow!! The silky texture is different from other oils I've tried. I've also read information like what alliesd wrote that because it's even higher in oleic than emu oil. The only brand I've tried is the Camellia Oil from chidoriyaworld.com , but I'm very impressed with it and will definitely be reordering. |

how heavy is camelia oil? is it like olive oil or jojoba oil? |

I would say that it's heavier than the really light oils like grapeseed, but it's MUCH lighter than heavier oils like olive oil. It feels very comfortable to wear it to bed at night. Hope this helps! |

does expeller pressed mean cold pressed? I take it that is the best way to purchase camellia oil? I would like to try this stuff. |

Emu Oil's composition is very similar to human skin oil.
Plant oils are not naturally on our skin. |

if camellia oil is a pusher oil like emu, should it be applied last, after moisturizers and serums? I remember someone recommending that it be applied before moisturizers. but i find that applying the oil last makes my skin smoother in the morning. |

Camellia oil is similar in consistency to jojoba. It absorbs very quickly and it does leave your skin feeling silky. It's a nice oil, but emu does beat it if you need an oil that is more healing. |

Camellia oil is wonderful! (Especially the one from RyF!) It's so light and it sinks right into the skin. I have oily skin and it never made me break out! Great for sensitive skin |

I'm loving my newly discovered Silkia camellia oil. My skin looks so beautiful and healthy the next morning I wake up. It also made some blackheads on my nose pop out and cleared the dry patches that I got on the cheeks as a result of using acne meds. |
